Freak show 2026 marks 11 months of wrestling. Came in with only one thing in mind.. APPLY PRESSURE. Double bracket 6u 61 & 6u HWT. All the hard work and dedication. All the privates with @collinhys @taylor.grimley definitely made all the difference. The outstanding wrestler award for the 6u bracket out of 89 wrestlers was the cherry on top. @californiagrapplers is the place to be!

——
About our A BETTER VICTORY shirt:

Victory isn’t always conquering what’s in front of you.
It’s about conquering what’s within you.

The world celebrates strength.
Power.
Dominance.
The one who comes out on top.

But Scripture tells us there’s a better victory.

“Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.”
— Proverbs 16:32

A man can conquer an entire city and still be a slave to his own sin.

He can defeat every opponent and still be defeated by his own pride.

Because the greatest battle isn’t against the person or obstacle standing across from us.

It’s against the sin dwelling within us.

And no amount of discipline, determination, or human strength can conquer that.

We don’t need to become stronger versions of ourselves.

We need a Savior.

Everything we earn for ourselves will eventually fade.
The trophies will tarnish.
The records will be broken.
The glory will turn to dust.

What the world calls victory is here today and gone tomorrow.

But through His life, death, and resurrection, Christ secured a victory we could never earn.

One that cannot decay.
Cannot be taken.
Cannot be defeated.

The point was never that we were strong enough to win.
The point has always been that Christ is the better Victor, the better inheritance, the better portion.

And what He has earned for His people is the only victory that will last for eternity.

Not self-made for a moment.
Christ-redeemed forever.

Everything else is smoke.
