Kids took over the Farmers Market, and it was magical ✨❤️ About a year ago, when we first created @reclaimthevillage.co one of our first ideas was to do a kid takeover of the Farmers Market, it was brilliant but sounded so hard to accomplish, until our little angel came around : @kymotter from the Pico @smfms help us made this beautiful vision a successful reality! The day was perfect: Kids going around with their little bags, market dollars and full blown confidence and autonomy to shop around the special deals that our partner farmers had put out for them ☀️🧺🥕 This woudn’t have been possible without Kym, the support of the @smfms, the Santa Monica Equity Grant and the incredible vendors that got on board with this idea @venegascreekroses @lovfarmsllc @valdivia_farms @energybeefarm @kenstopnotch__chavez @cabralfamilyfarms (and more!) And the amazing partners that supported us! @lifewaykefir @zicococonut @drinktractor @flybyjing @drinkopenwater Can’t wait to bring this back soon!! 😍 If you make it to the event, please let me know in the comments below what you thought of it 🙌🏽 #ReclaimTheMarket #ReclaimTheVillage #farmersmarket #santamonica #virginiaavenuepark

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our summer spectacular this week at the @hammer_museum! ✨ In addition to our program of globally-minded, groundbreaking short films and music videos, our guest filmmakers surprised us with some unforgettable presentations and performances: 🎬 Erin Murray debuted a brand-new coda to her Aron “Table for Two” video—featuring Sethward, who literally burst out of the movie screen onto the stage IRL. 🔮 Paola Ossa and her editor Zoë Mountain created an interactive tarot reading for 300 attendees. 🏆 On the celebrated Hammer stage, Eno received fashion merchandising’s highest honor—the Fabrica de Palma. 📡 Christian Saint beamed a video message about his video “Sundiata” from his London studio. 🎭 Actor/director Anna Khaja shared stories and photos from her roles portraying voiceless Muslim women in Hollywood—experiences that ultimately inspired her directorial debut “Headbang.” 🪆 Lola Blanc, a multitalented artist, surprised us with a ventriloquist routine she last performed as a child. 🎶 And finally, one of our favorite DJs, Friki Fran, kept the after-party moving under the stars. We know—it sounds unbelievable. You had to be there! Which is why you won’t want to miss our fall Hammer program on Thursday, Nov. 13. Got a film or video you think would be a perfect fit? Enter now at FilmFreeway.com/Flux. ✨ Early bird deadline: Sept. 17. 📸: @bri.fei
