Much of my 2025 was spent babywearing, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

A rotator cuff injury in the early spring definitely put a damper on things for a bit, and I had to fully take a break from wrapping for a few months. Thankfully, @kinderpack with its wide, cushy straps made wearing tolerable for short stretches, even during the early healing process.

Overall, though, I was still able to babywear a lot more than I anticipated when I got the initial prognosis, so I’m grateful for that.

Here’s a peek at some of my favorite carries + carriers from this past year, featuring:
• @didymos_babywearing woven wraps
• @hippiejoeyco Earth
• @mokosh_wrap woven wrap
• @mayawrap ring sling
• @oschaslings woven wrap
• @kinderpack SSC

A recent shoulder injury has forced me to take a break from wrapping, and honestly, it’s been so hard 😭 But sometimes, things don’t go as planned, and we have to listen to our bodies.

As a homesteading mama of 3 who works from home, babywearing is essential for me— especially with a little one who never wants to be put down. It’s a way for me to get things done around the house and homestead, and meet deadlines— all while connecting with my baby and keeping him safe and content.

Right now, I’m taking a break from wrapping and allowing my shoulder to heal. Because sometimes, moving forward just means letting ourselves rest. But, it’s been such a struggle, both physically and emotionally.

I’m reminding myself daily that it’s okay to slow down when we need to.

Here’s to giving ourselves permission to take a break, even when it’s not what we wanted.

Week 14 Carry of the Week: Rucksack Carry

It’s time for a back carry! Rucksack carry, or ruck for short, is a great beginner back carry that can be used for both babies & toddlers. It’s a one-layer carry, making it a good option for warm weather. This is my go-to back carry because it’s quick, easy and pretty comfy.

Find the link to a full tutorial (+ tutorials for previous weeks) on my website (🔗 in bio).

Week 13 Carry of the Week: Popparoo

This week’s carry is another that I was inspired to try thanks to @wrapyourbaby’s Poppins deep dive in Wrap Guild this month.

Poparoo is a Poppins + Kangaroo Carry hybrid and I love it! It’s really comfortable and is my new favorite for contact naps. I’ve been having some back and shoulder pain lately and this carry distributes my chunky babe’s weight in a way that feels really good. Plus, it looks pretty!

If you’re learning to wrap, @wrapyourbaby is an amazing resource! Highly recommend 🙌

Week 12 Carry of the Week: Poppins Carry

@wrapyourbaby has been doing a Poppins deep dive in Wrap Guild this month and I’m having a lot of fun trying the different variations of this carry. Pictured is a reinforced version that is my favorite iteration. It gives a little extra support, which I appreciate with my chunky babe.

If you’re learning to wrap, @wrapyourbaby is an amazing resource! Highly recommend 🙌

Pregnancy is a time of incredible change as your body expands to create new life. Stretch marks are a natural part of this journey, serving as a reminder of all your body has done to bring your little one into the world. 💕

While it’s important to honor the resilience your body showed during pregnancy, it’s also completely normal to not feel like yourself in your postpartum body. Give yourself grace as you navigate this new chapter. Incorporating simple rituals that nourish and support your skin can help you embrace the changes and appreciate what your body has been through.

A stretch mark skin serum made with nourishing oils infused with botanicals is perfect for showing your skin a little extra love. Green tea has been shown to improve the appearance of stretch marks. Tea is rich in polyphenols and antioxidants, which help to reduce inflammation, increase collagen production, and hydrate the skin. Over time, it can promote skin regeneration, which can help to fade stretch marks.

Week 11 Carry of the Week: Knotless Front Cross Carry (FCC)

Front Cross Carry is a really comfy and supportive carry. It’s also really convenient because you can easily pop your baby in or out without having to untie & retie your wrap.

I prefer the knotless FCC because then it makes it really easy to adjust after popping baby in or to making it easier to breastfeed.

Week 10 Carry of the Week: No Sew Ring Sling

No sew ring sling is a great option for quick ups. It’s a simple carry that can be very comfortable and supportive when adjusted correctly. I use a size 2 wrap (base -4), but you could use a bigger wrap if you don’t mind longer tails.

Water safe carriers are such a game changer 💦

Babywearing makes showering and bath time so much more convenient and less stressful for both you and your little one. Baby feels safe & calm snuggled up on your chest. And you don’t have to try to find a minute to sneak off to shower without them (and then spend the whole time wondering if you hear them crying 😳).

Find this @beachfrontbaby water wrap for sale at @littlezenone. They also have a water safe ring sling & buckle carrier if you prefer either of those styles.

Week 9 Carry of the Week: Kangaroo Carry

This week we’re moving on from FWCC variations and covering another good beginner carry, Kangaroo Carry.

This carry can be done with a base -2 or even a base -3 wrap. In the picture, I’m using a size 3 wrap which is base -3 for me. But, I will need to size up as my baby grows since I’m just barely able to get a good knot now.

This is a great carry for babies and is a popular carry for newborns, but can be used with older babies and toddlers as well.

It is a more easily poppable carry, so for wiggly little ones you may want to use a longer (base -1) wrap and do a reinforced version tied behind your back to make it a little more secure.

It’s easy to do with baby in arms, making it a great carry for wrapping a sleeping child. Because it only has one layer of fabric over baby, it’s also a good carry for hot weather.

… is that learning how to use a woven wrap isn’t that difficult!

When I had my first baby, I definitely assumed woven wraps weren’t for me, but now with my third, they’re easily my favorite style of baby carrier 🙈

Sure, there’s a bit of a learning curve, but it’s nowhere near as challenging as I imagined. And they’re just soo comfy and versatile.
