Unreal season 🙌🏻

I made the decision to step down as head coach this season due to another job, and wanted these kids to have a coach that would be there full time for them. It wasn't an easy choice, but I'm so glad I was still able to help coach this year and see my seniors run some lifetime bests. I couldn't have asked for a better person to take the role of head coach - my former assistant coach @chele_king_ did a phenomenal job this year 🙌🏻. These kids mean the world to me, and I love them like they're my own. They completed one of the most successful XC seasons in school history...

🔹️50 personal records set/broken
🔹️SR Kailynn Jensen broke 20min (19:45)
🔹️Kailynn Jensen set the #4 all-time school record
🔹️3 boys broke the previous school record
🔹️SR Laith Hatamleh new school record (16:58)
🔹️SR Kailynn Jensen (All-Region Honors)
🔹️Boys Team - 2nd at Regional Championships
🔹️Girls Team - 4th at Regional Championships
🔹️Boys Team - 6th at State Championships (first time ever qualifying as a team)
🔹️Girls Team - 4th at State Championships
🔹️FR McKenzie Ashcraft (All-State Honors) 7th Place

I don't think they'll ever understand how much THEY teach me throughout the season. Seeing them bond as a team, pushing themselves beyond what they thought they were capable of, balancing school, work, a social life and practices/meets - they are amazing individuals.

To my seniors... Kailynn, Carson, Kaitlin, Carmen, Savannah, Grant, Laith, Mason, Nate. I'm so proud of all of you. Thank you for trusting me over the past four years and dealing with my frustration, crazy workouts, and weirdness. I did it all out of love and to get yall to be the best versions of yourselves 💙💚🐻
