Summer recap

Summer 2026!!! A season of growth, humility, and lots of patience, but one that won’t be forgotten and that was accompanied by more blessings than I could ever ask for! The Lord is so very faithful to His people, no matter where in the world they may be, and His love and goodness are enduring no matter the season!

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
‭‭
Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭

“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
‭‭
Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬-‭4‬

I’m learning to live in the peace and satisfaction of God, striving to love him and love others the way I should. Meeting everyone with the same grace, kindness, and understanding that God gives me. Worrying less, letting go more, trusting his purpose and plan, and being obedient in all areas of my life. No better time than a week at Falls Creek to put that into practice and continue to learn and grow right along side our students. I pray they see Jesus in me. I pray they know I’m in their corner, I’m here for them, and that I want them to just live lives that honor and glorify Jesus. I’m so thankful for @405students for @garretthankins04 and @dustinbutler_ and for all our sponsors and students. What a gift a week at the Creek was this year! Thank you Jesus for all you are doing and all you will do!

Last day of sophomore year for Aden! And Carson finished his first year of college last week! I'm so proud of both of them. They are incredible young men.
Watching your kids grow up and getting a front row seat to who they are becoming is the BEST!

Happy Mother's Day! I've been thinking a lot lately about God making me a boy mom. The girl whose dad was absent, the one always searching for love, approval, and acceptance but also so afraid to give anyone her whole heart or to ever be completely vulnerable. That girl was gifted 2 incredible boys who broke down all those walls. They have taught me how to love fiercely, to be more vulnerable than I ever thought possible, to sacrifice everything for them, to put their needs before my own, to care, worry, and unceasingly pray. God gave me two boys who I know love me, even when they don't like me, look out for me, care for me, want the best for me and are growing up to be incredible young men. When they were tiny, I was their whole world, now they need me less and less and even though their lives are changing, my love for them just grows and grows. Each season of motherhood has brought its own lessons, challenges, and joys, and as we shift closer to adulthood for Carson and the last few teen years for Aden, the time just gets sweeter and I cherish it more. What a gift and delight it is to be their mom, to watch them grow up, and to become the people God has made them to be. I hope they always know and always remember how much I love them....that smothering kind of annoying mom love that drives them crazy but also let's them know I'm always here, no matter what. I'm safe. I will always listen. We can get through anything together. We are a team. God has written a beautiful story with perfect plans and intricately woven details, no mistakes just abundant mercy, grace, and great faithfulness. I love being their mom and I'm so grateful God gave them to me.
