This was another dance from my graduating dance showcase from my college The American and Musical and Dramatic Academy. I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Dance Theatre in two and a half years in 2015. I was the hula hooper or aerialist in dancer form.

Ethereal beings create unforgettable art🪐
•
•
Ps: I watched every clip one thousand times and picked at every little thing and criticized myself so hard. Telling myself I wasn’t worthy, telling myself that it wasn’t good enough.. But I’ve realized, my art is unforgiving, it’s in your face, it’s fierce and a force. I gave my best and I had to remind myself that’s worth everything✨🫂. Never let your fear of other peoples perspectives stop you from posting or pouring out your passion.
•
Thank you @justinconte @carsonvision & @toyinsogunro for trusting me with your art I’m so abundantly grateful for this experience and I will never forget it🙏🏾.
•
To the cast, thank you from the bottom of my art, when I doubted myself my peers held my hand and reassured me of why I’m here. Hugs every where I turned, I laughed so hard, the deep conversations to better understand eachother. I will never take that for granted thank you to everyone, much love always ✨🫶🏾!!

A bit of Behind the Scenes from the @labitlabit Parallel shoot.

—

01 - Building the setup at @_impossibleobjects around the car.

02 - Drummer @blairheumann crammed into the backseat with his kit.

03 - @labitlabit getting out for a reset on location for the opening of the video.

04 - Camera Operator @ericulbrich (and lighting board op) posing *like one of your* french girls with his rig.

05 - Producer @erikaeads producing us into a successful shoot day without getting too mad at the two of us.

06 - Little comparison video of our two dancers @fernyg822 and @parkerbrudzinski in an early rehearsal with @carsonvision .

07 - @coryjgraves in between takes on set.

08 - Our long time DP and friend @gipperpl with a proof-of-life selfie for our EP @_elizabeth.collins_

09 - The @_impossibleobjects brain trust Nhan (Wall Op) and Nicole (Producer). And another angle of the lighting setup outside the car.

10 - Robuchon on set in between giving notes for more treats.

11 - Checking the frame on the last shot of the video after the dolly move through the car.

12 - Vantage point of the truss rig that was used to mount the camera and provide stability, hold a frame all day, and to allow for movement through the car for the match-cut from the opening and the dolly of the ending. Grips have all the fun.

Tomorrow a music video we made with @labitlabit comes out...or errrm…”drops”…did we say that right? We’ve decided to set a tradition we started with our film @ahardproblem (yes, this is a plug for our feature, sue us!) and that’s to post the end credits of our work the day before the release.

It takes the efforts of so many people to realize any bit of filmmaking. And hardly anyone gets the credit they deserve. I mean even putting a full set of end credits on a music video feels kind of novel, but hey, MTV is dead so we can do what we want.

If you’re in these credits please know we are deeply grateful for your hard work and appreciate all of the things we did together, and the things you did in preparation and wrap that we weren’t around for. Some of you we’ve never worked with before, and some of you we have known for decades and we are so lucky to get to make things together.

Filmmaking is a collaborative effort, it makes this art form unique and hard, it’s one of the things we love the most about it. These are the people that deserve all the credit—we’ll take any of the blame.
