What starts around a campfire turns into dinner parties, hiking trips, coworking days, road trips, group chats, and the kind of friendships that keep showing up long after camp ends. Third Nature has never just been about a weekend away. It’s about finding your people and realizing you don’t have to leave them when camp is over. -— A note from our founder: A lot of people talk about community when they really have an audience. Early in the journey of building Third Nature (back then it was called Startup Island), we learned a framework that guides how we think about this overused buzz word: If you remove any one person from the community (including anyone on the leadership team or even the brand itself), does the community still exist? If the answer is no, you don’t have community. A community exists when the relationships between members transcend the leadership team, influencer, brand, or organization. People come to camp to become part of a community. They come back to create new memories with their camp friends. But when camp isn’t happening - and even if it never happened again - they remain camp friends forever 💚
