Emmys 2026. Thrilled to see my dear grade school and high school friend Steve Conrad win his 3rd Emmy for the season! And to attend the Emmys with another St Thomas Aquinas graduate! @stahighschool was well represented with Steve Conrad, Billy Crudup, Eileen Grubba and Brian Heatherman in the house. Go STA! Trust me when I say, this is just the beginning.

Our dear friend @ernestharden from The Actors Studio family won his first Emmy! Sally Field @sallyfield another Actors Studio member also brought home an Emmy #TheActorsStudio

It was exciting and moving to see so many friends on the stage this year as well as many people I've worked with and shows I've worked on. So proud of all we have accomplished through the years.

Another breathtaking moment was the double standing ovation for Michael J. Fox @realmikejfox after
decades of speaking up for disability inclusion. The audience is ready! #emmys2026

My 9th Burn since 2010, and this one was major. Build and strike were grueling but absolutely worth it. I mean check out this camp.

I leaned into the medicine every chance I could get and the results came to fruition (my word of the year) in a big way. This King of Peace got the full range of Radical Self-Reliance — from feeling like a 5-year-old who couldn’t figure out his own bike lock or ratchet straps for the umpteenth time, to an abundant daddy serving hot grass-fed brisket to his rainy refugees during the storm.

Thanks to everyone who helped me when I wasn’t at my best. I hope the Playa returned the favor to you in kind.

I came home in one piece, full of love for my @elementumcamp family, for new friends, and for Burners as a larger community and rebellion.

It takes a minute to process it all on the return, but one thing’s for sure: Hard Burns burn BRIGHT 🌟

This one asked more of me.

There were hard moments. Long days. Dust in absolutely everything. I spent more time shivering than sweating. Showing up when I was tired, digging a little deeper, giving more than I thought I had.

Being part of build this year made the magic on the other side feel different. There’s something about putting your hands and heart into creating the place you eventually get to play inside. The effort became part of the experience. And the payoff was so worth it. I felt so proud of our camp.

Somewhere in between the work and the wild, I kept finding these little pockets of magic. Finding familiarity in new connections and novelty in older friendships. There were deep dives, boundless joy, so much dancing, creating, helping, being helped. Moments so small they would be easy to miss, but somehow those are the ones I keep thinking about.

I came to the desert with a pretty empty bucket. And somehow, it kept getting filled. Again and again. A reminder that the things that ask the most of us can also give the most back. That community is something we build, not just something we find. And that leading from the heart will always take me where I need to go.

So grateful for every hand, every hug, every lesson, every boogie, every bit of sweat equity, and every little pocket of magic along the way. I love my home in @elementumcamp. We are onto something. ♥️

Co-creating the Elementum experience this year with @alexakmh @juliangb and the rest of the @elementumcamp Leadership team was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life.

>70% of the camp were new members to the community and over half of the founding leadership team was taking the year off or no longer part of the camp. Elementum could have easily struggled this year — but we erected the totem at Robot Heart and emerged from the dust stronger than ever.

I’ve never been so proud to be part of this community. A community that sees each other, that holds each other through the challenging moments, and holds each other accountable to be better human beings when we slip up. A community that feels like Home. A community that upholds the 10 Principles of Burning Man and is 100% funded, built, programmed, and struck by the 85 members.

It wouldn’t be possible without the Participation of every single person in the camp. I promise you that we notice every single detail and the ways each of you showed up for each other.

Finally, this year was truly a dream come true to collaborate with artists and communities that inspire me like @itsdrchaii @simbasax @tower69_artcar @npr and @griffinmaxwellbrooks

Don’t believe the naysayers on social media, Burning Man is still a one-of-one transformational experience if you lean in. If you’re curious, you should experience it yourself.
