Introducing the Class of 2030: Welcome to Princeton, Carter Torrence! 🐅

Hometown: Charlottesville, VA

PRs & Accolades
300M: 38.96
400M: 54.87
800M: 2:05.09
2026 Brooks PR 800M 5th Place
2026 New Balance Indoor National Runner-Up at 800M

Why Princeton: “I chose Princeton because I knew it was the school that would give me the best opportunity to succeed not only as an athlete, but as a student as well. Coach Hunt was incredibly invested in me throughout the recruiting process, as he was one of the first schools to reach out before I ran my breakthrough PR. Coach Hunt saw me as more than just a runner, as he displayed strong support and incredible coaching throughout my visit. The campus is extremely beautiful, undergraduate focused, and is immersed with compassionate staff and well-driven facilities. As a whole, the team is uplifting, kind, driven, and incredibly smart. I can’t wait to surround myself with girls that I know will push me to become a better person on and off the track. Go Tigers!”

Strong families. Stronger community. ❤️‍🔥💪

We are grateful for the people who make Formula so much more than a place to work out.
