God is great! This journey was awesome and I have to thank Him because I wouldn’t be here without Him.

This season felt like a second chance. Playing in Louisville AGAIN, trying to prove to myself that in life I can do any and everything if I put my mind to it and to depend on my faith instead of my own understanding. Got the call that I would tryout for the team 1 month before camp started but didn’t actually get to sign until a week into training camp. Balled out, did damn near everything right and still got cut for signing a week late. Thanked God for the opportunity and told coach I’ll be ready when they call me back. They signed me back a few days later. 🤷🏾‍♂️ 😅
GOD’s TIMING!!

Didn’t really get to play as much offense as I thought I would all season but instead of getting down about that, I just put all my focus into being the best FOOTBALL PLAYER I could possibly be. I ended up on all 4 special teams and because of that, I got to travel week 3 and made the most of my opportunities. Got promoted to Kick Returner week 4 and had my first reception of the season right in front of my family and friends. For the rest of the season I helped my team with explosive kickoff returns and making tackles on punt/kickoff.

Went to the playoffs and won a United Football League Championship in my first season.

WORDS OF WISDOM:

To my coaches and teammates, THANK YOU for the opportunity to play this game I love and allowing me to be apart of this season. THANK YOU for the mentorship on and off the field. For the words of encouragement, the fellowship and for the great memories I’ll never forget. Much love CHAMPS 🏆

You thought this was another typical engagement post, but Carter just won the United Bowl, and photo 2/4 says it all. What a year can do and bring. I had to use this as an excuse to share a few more of these moments. This journey has been incredible, challenging, and unforgettable all at once, and I’ll cherish every second of it. Watching you live out your dream is one of a kind and worth it all. Another stepping stone in this journey of what was yours, and is now ours. Thank you for letting me enjoy the ride. Proud of you, always. 🤍

A year since my best yes.

Thank you for giving 5/29 *just* a bit more meaning in my book. (you know taking me to Greece, and making what was once a little girl’s imagination and dream become reality). I’ve learned those little dreams as a little girl were never about where or when, but finding a love like ours.

I’ll soak in these moments of engagement forever, enjoying every second of this stage while we can, but I cannot wait until I get to call you my husband. I love you. 🤍
