10 years of Carter B. Huff Sports!!

10 years ago, I opened WordPress and launched a small sports blog with a dream. What started as a place to write about college basketball, baseball, football, the NBA, the NFL (and survive three different name changes 😅) has become carterbhuffsports — a space that’s taken me further than I ever imagined.

In summer of 2022, the blog helped me get to the North Carolina Scholastic Media Association Spoets Journalism Camp at UNC-Chapel Hill, where I met incredible people from all over the country and even got to meet Roy Williams and former Tar Heels guard Puff Johnson. That experience pushed me to keep chasing this path.

When I chose to attend the University of Arkansas, I spent my first semester as a contributing reporter for Arkansas Traveler Sports and covered Razorback football’s upset of No. 4 Tennessee. After that, I joined Arkansas Athletic Communications, gaining game day experience setting up scorer’s tables, the press box, and equipment for radio and TV crews, distributing credentials, uploading photos to the SEC Media Portal, and assisting with postgame press conferences and media coordination. This past season, I also wrote weekly Razorback Reports for Arkansas baseball.

10 years later, this blog has given me reps, relationships, and a glimpse of the career I’ve always wanted. I’m grateful for everyone who has read, shared, mentored, or worked with me along the way and I’m just getting started.

Here’s to 2016-2026 and to whatever comes next for Carter B. Huff Sports. 🔟

Blessed for another great year producing content for the cbhsports blog!

Throughout 2025, I published 76 new blog posts covering college baseball, college basketball, college football, the NBA, and the NFL.

After over nine years of blogging and six years after I established cbhsports, I published my 1,000th blog post on Sept. 19 titled “2025 9/20 College Football Preview.” I am proud of this achievement and appreciate all of the continued support I have received for the almost decade that I have covered athletics.

Check out more of my 2025 blog stats by swiping to the eighth slide of this post.

Other highlights of my 2025 included my time volunteering with Razorback Communications at different athletics events across campus and my time serving on the Collegiate Board of the Razorback Foundation. I helped out in the press box and on the sideline at baseball, football, volleyball, and basketball games throughout the year. I love being at the Razorback Foundation office at least once a week to help out there and helping out at special events. I am excited to use those experiences to continue growing as I continue to pursue a job in college athletics in the future.

I also appreciate all of the great advice I have received this year from professionals about how to begin my career working in athletics. I am excited to continue learning from these people and more that I meet in 2026.

I also had a great experience meeting a professional athlete, the Golden State Warriors’ wing Moses Moody, a fellow Arkansas native and former Razorback. It was great to meet him and learn more about his career and what he does during their day to day life as an NBA basketball player.

I look forward to another great year of covering athletics in 2026 and I appreciate all of the continued support I receive.

My 2026 spring blog schedule will be released right here on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. CT.
