thank you to everybody that attended our 7th annual Vancouver Beatbox Championships! We had such a great time opening this competition to international and showing the highest level of beatboxing that can be obtained in North America!

Spittin sicker than it’s typhus

🥈 VBC 26 🥈

Such a monumental event. Managed to place 2nd in the first international Vancouver Beatbox Championship! Lost to the one and only @maloochbeatbox, bro has been on the grind and it shows :) congrats champ 🥵
I also got to battle @hohinyam_colin, so much progression in such a short time man super happy to have shared the stage with you 🧣
@primal_beatbox, you’re so sick man had me shivering my timbers battling you fr 🏴‍☠️ insanely intricate ideas and combos
@kingdombeatbox an absolute monster in the scene, might have been the best sounding on that system all night 😤 nutty textures and sound palate. love hearing your style develop

Really throwing a generational event with this one. Sound was so on point, energy was so good throughout the night. Truly setting the precedent for what an event should be. Definitely one worth going to if you can. Absurdly grateful to continue to be a part of this beautiful event.

Words cannot describe Vancouver Champs 2026 - one of the best Beatbox events I've ever been to in my life. This was the first year it's opened up to international competitors and the talent level, the hunger and the authentic best efforts put in by each and every single beatboxer a part of the competition seriously makes me (easily) remain confident that the next generation of Beatboxers are still pushing the envelope and pushing each other to grow within the scene, and overall become even better humans.

From making new friends, to developing deeper relationships, and always learning more about the world that exists around us are only a few of many takeaways from this weekend.

There are so many more pictures and videos that ought to be posted, which still wouldn't speak to what the experience was like first-hand.

Huge, huge shout-outs (and I know I'm surely gonna miss out on some folks):

@thewestcoastgroove for making it happen (@cimaxvicinity @_shyang @carterremm @raynflow @kaylahum_ @josht_n).
As it's commonly said, 'it takes a village' yet I'll say that the fact that there is a village present is priceless for hitting expected goals and then reaching above and beyond, and then literally innovating for what will become new staple components for other domestic and global events to integrate into their own built out experiences. A lot of learnings of how to optimize and better ideas per implementation into future Beatbox events to literally make a better community/audience experience.

Judges @octo_bbx @kuyavino @denbeatbox for the unspoken and understood deep respect, the competitors have for their Judges - who know both the overall picture of everything Beatbox by earning their way to be on the panel, and the ever-changing latest meta sounds and techniques within the Beatbox scene even on the ground level.

Personal shout-out to the Top 4 all reppin' the USA and to anyone reading this who was at the event not already mentioned, a shoutout to you ;)

Great North Beatbox Battle

I don’t even know how to start with this event. This was my first international event outside of the US and easily one of the best events I’ve ever been to and I met so many friends after talking with them over discord for so long! I got to battle @kinginertia in the top 16! Congrats to @blackroll.beatbox for taking home 1st place it was well deserved!! Congrats to @pacmax_bbx for 2nd @alexsanchezcreates for 3rd and @zvd_beatbox for 4th!! I made some great stuff coming out soon with @jaylip coming out soon 👀 and there’s so many more people that I could put into ten pictures but thank you @beatboxcanada for throwing such an amazing event and you can bet 1,000% that I will be back next year! Until next time Toronto!

I don't really have many photos of myself inside the actual venues of the competiton itself but I am grateful that @misobeatbox 😍 was able to capture some amazing moments around the weekend.
.
My trip to Toronto was quite short but the fulfillment that I feel right now from this event @beatboxcanada will be long lasting. I am so grateful for all the moments I shared with all of you and I have seriously taken a lot away from this experience.
.
Although I am disappointed that I lost in the first round of battles to @yohaan_mas , ( A very talented and bright artist / human being, big ups bro and great show. 😁 ) I learned a lot from the experience. I ended up placing second in the solo elimination showcase round somehow out of everyone. I felt shock and elation that my solo performance scored so high to the judges out of all the legendary talent competing there. Wow.. 🙏

Learning that my artistry and unique application of beatboxing can carry me to such heights in what is one of the highest skill level events ever in NA is something that fills me with great pride and motivation to keep going and sharing more of what I do. Thank you to everyone for all the love and kind words of reassurance. I have regained a huge sense of self gratification and momentum inside and outside of beatboxing as a result of all of your energy.
.
As for what's next, I am going to keep being myself. I have a hard time being competitive / battling when we are comparing art (something so vulnerable and self expressive) but I'm continually learning how to authentically represent myself on stage and in my routines in a way that feels right. I may have lost in this competition but in reality I have won something so much more meaningful as a result. That prize is growth. Success is progress.

At the end of the day, beatboxing is something that has been a part of me for 18 years now and I will never stop. I wish I could credit more of you here and tag all whom I shared a moment with but there is not enough room for more words. 🤣 I hope to see you all again soon. May your lives be blessed with happiness and good fortune. 💛
