From first timers to competitive age group athletes battling for minutes and positions- this morning had it all. The overwhelming thing that struck me about the athletes we had racing this morning was that we have cultivated a community that I hand on heart would prefer to be a part of than any other. Our team races with heart, battles through challenges and embraces the sport as good as I could possibly hope for them to do. This extends from all our athletes racing this weekend, not just Bolton 70.3, but also to those racing further afield, we have had some unbelievable results this weekend from wins to podiums to huge PBs and everything inbetween. We love this game 🩷🖤

'Just a training run' was the race plan, 50KM later and we've bagged a second place. Coach Devlin, chapeau sir.

Chorley lads take the win at Chorley 10K, what a morning.

The destination would be no where near as worth it if it wasn’t for the ebbs and flows of the journey📝

Bear with me man because tapering has a habit of putting me in touch with my feelings; as I begin to prepare myself for my 6th full distance Ironman event this weekend at Ironman Texas. I can’t help but think about how things have changed from when I first stepped on an Ironman start line in Bolton in 2019 at 20 years old.

The change I’m talking about is the team we have built at Peak. When I think about standing on a start line now, it has so much less to do with me and so much more to do with the kit I’ll be donning and the logo that will be on my chest. The same logo worn by race champions, by course record holders, by hundreds of first timers.

The same logo that has been built on individual sacrifice, thousands and thousands of hours of people’s own journeys in endurance sport facilitated by nothing other than grit, desire, and a genuine WANT to be better.

I think about what that means to me now and the overwhelming pride it gives me to represent this team. The first word that comes to mind is legacy. Not my legacy, but our legacy; the stories that every single person that wears our kit leaves out on a race course. Whether it’s someone’s first race or their last - every single time we step on that start line we make ourselves proud,

and that pride is what carries us all, that mutual understanding of what it means to wear our logo on your chest and to represent this family of warriors. To dig deep and leave nothing out on course other than your best. To strive to be different from the rest.

To embark on the journey of taking yourself from where you are, to where you want to be.

If you are in any way part of our family - just know I will be thinking of you when I zip my pink and black tri-suit up on Saturday morning, and that alone will continue to give me the strength that I need.

Ironman Texas 2026, let’s fuckin av ya.

There’s no exaggeration in saying that this sport requires almost everything you have to give, and more. When we say more…the support that you can gather from outside sources, family, friends, sponsors, it honestly isn’t possible without them all.

In our case, as a team that provides coaching first and foremost, we rely on the community we have around us to prop us up on race day. To shout our names on course, to hold our bags, to deal with our pre-race nerves. The spectators and family members that embrace this team and give up their weekends to do nothing but help our athletes are the true super heroes and foundations that underpin the team.

Then there’s the sponsors, a team of people who all have an affiliation with Peak and have decided to help raise the profile of our team by helping us achieve things that wouldn’t be possible without them. All out of their love and passion for us as a squad. We can’t thank you enough.

A personal shout must be given to Ian and his team at @ewoodbikes for his continuing support of the squad. He has proven on more than one instance that he won’t let us not race through fault of a mechanical. Anything he has the capacity to do for us, he does and in this sport of triathlon, with our mechanical ineptitude…he ends up pretty busy with it all. On more than one occasion now emergency race week work has been undertaken that has resulted in race wins or podiums. Genuinely couldn’t have achieved what we have this year without the team at Ewood Bikes.

We hope everyone has a brilliant bank holiday.

Wow where do I start?

KURK, you are an Ironman 🇸🇪

Nothing like a Swedish commentator to get your name wrong after 11 hours & 46 minutes of grinding it out. Worse things have happened.

This has been some journey. If you’re contemplating an Ironman, just book it and worry about how you’ll do it after.

Take the action.

You can’t do this without unwavering support behind you.

It’s equally as tough for them as it is for me too. The support crew on the day was like no other. Every family member and friend who came out to support us was simply amazing.

However, three women make this possible for me. Without them I genuinely wouldn’t be able to do this so a huge thank you goes to @molly.b.taylor @yvette.tayx but most importantly @brooklandgrierson. She endures my mood swings, my lows but most importantly shares every high.

The dust ain’t settled yet, but what a weekend with the team.

It’s a pleasure to share the course with these 2 men. It’s not been an easy old road nor has it been straightforward, but it’s done now. Not sure I really thought it was possible at first and maybe a little but out of reach. We put in the work, we got our rewards. @peakperformanceendurance @caltowny set out the roadmap, I stuck to the plan.

Peace out.
