The IGD Classes at CART went on an adventure today. First we met with the Fresno State ESports Teams and learned about collegiate esports. Big thanks to Rocio for the hospitality.
After leaving Fresno State, we went to Holland Elementary School and the IGD Students had Mr Ortuno's Fourth Grade class beta test their vocabulary games.
If that wasn't enough, we then went to Ms Smith's Fourth Grade and the IDGs showed the 4th graders how to animate.

It was an amazing day full of engagement and community.

IYKYK and if not, you are invited!

Honors English in the Tech Labs is more than just reading a dusty book! Our class is reading Ready Player One while learning about ethos, logos, pathos, and kairos which are the four classical modes of persuasion used in rhetoric and effective communication. The labs acted out a scene from the book where the characters used these modes to convince each other to join forces.

Happy World Teachers’ Day!

Some of the people who influence our lives the most are the teachers who saw something in us before we could see it ourselves.

They encouraged us to ask questions, try again, think differently, and believe that we were capable of more. Years later, we may not remember every lesson, but we remember the teachers who believed in us, encouraged us, and made a difference in who we became.

Today is a chance to thank them. To every teacher giving their time, knowledge, and heart to the next generation, thank you.

Who is a teacher you still remember? Tag them and let them know the difference they made in your life.

Happy World Teachers’ Day from @onorfoundation!

The smell of coffee and hot chocolate filled the hallway as the ENV Lab transformed into the Sustainable Sips Coffee Shop, a mock networking event.

This was our first iteration of helping students practice real interview skills: answering questions, communicating professionally, and thinking on their feet. #teachthingsdostuff #careerskills

Our Interactive Game Design students are hard at work developing their CARTKour Game—a game inspired by the CART campus and the people who make it special!

For our latest demo, we made Aaron Morgan (CEO), Staci Bynum (Dean), and Custodian Jacob into playable characters! 👾

We have fun and play games… but it’s not all fun and games! 🎮🔥

Link is in the bio if you want to play.

From app development to designing and building an enrichment: Students from the Mobile App Design, Web application development, Engineering, Robotics & Manufacturing, and Environmental Science labs kicked off their year long collaboration with the Fresno Chaffee Zoo.

Students learned what enrichment looks like in a zoo setting, why it matters for animal welfare, and the safety expectations for the project.
Three labs. One shared purpose: positively impact the daily lives of animals and support the staff who are dedicated to caring for them.
