❤️ NICE THINGS THAT HAPPENED AT GIGS THIS WEEK: VOL 92 Traveled up to North Wales to 'Close' a lovely little night in Caernarfon 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 I LOVE the drive to North Wales, one of the nicest road trip routes I get to do. Lucky, because when I drop my bags on the kitchen floor at 4.30am, its good to have those memories 😅 🥱 Met a lovely bunch of comedians that I'd only previously seen names pop up on circuit forums - ALL LOVELY HUMANS. I hijacked the delightful Caryl Burke to be my glamorous assistant, I also had the pleasure of seeing S.Wales act, Pratik Barman & his lovely partner. Always a treat to see them and Pratik is one if the most fun acts to watch... book him!! One of the things I love about this comedy game** is meeting the acts. I LOVE that we have our own bespoke version of funny. Got to work 'Stage Distraction Muscles' 🥰 because although numbers were quiet ☀️, ...the bar was loud & bustling, ...I was enthusiastically heckled throughout 😅, no idea what they they were saying, so I had to really work to manage & hold the room. I got to talk about the vocal-locals skills of 'baking', 'sounds effects' and their toilet habbits which all landed luckily. When I came off, It felt like I'd had a good session down the gym 🤣 ...I would imagine 😅 I loved it 🙌 **INSIDE - SIDE NOTE: Summer can be a performance Gig-coaster 🎢 I had 4 really nice promotors cancel future bookings because of ticket sales... this week. So I was grateful just to be performing, opposed to "Dragging n Dropping" the emancipated carcas of a beautiful booking, into the 'Canceled' file in my diary 🙌 EVERY GIG IS A PRIVILEGE. The 'Comedians Monopoly' game is tough, While some have grafted to build Comedy Hotels & Houses 🥰, some seem to glide around the board, collecting £200 on the way (they don't, they have to WORK for that) ...and then, some cant get out of jestical-Jail. Theres no 'Get out of jail FREE' card. Sometimes you have to force the bars open, just to throw the dice yourself. Luckily this gig was lovey, I came away having met great people, benefited from testing my gig-ability & had a great gig W
