As we close out the month of February Five Star Women of Color hosted a High Tea. This event supported one of our stars, Culture & Sophistication. I can’t capture 21 years away altogether, or the last 12 years in Baltimore into 90 seconds - Instead I’ll share some highlights of the last month of our time in our home 🦀 away from home 🍑

And I’ll say THANK YOU to The Creator, The All Knowing - for inspiring me to take a journey to earn my PhD at THE Howard University; which led to so many beautiful experiences, phenomenal people, and fond memories, Alhumdullilah!

THANK YOU for the love, laughter, play dates, and life-long memories with family, neighbors, friends, and framily

THANK YOU to our first home 🏡 the perfect place for our little AND big family. Our safe haven, our homeschool, and the place of 3 healing home births

THANK YOU to my communities: Muslim, running, workout, birthing, dance, karate, and community institutions & organizations for giving me and our family a place of belonging and helping me to grow

THANK YOU to the sisterhood: the susu group, the salon sessions, Sunday brunches, beach & farmers market trips. A special shout out to my womb circle, and my hometown group chat - you all have lifted me up and held me down through my happiness and my sadness 🥹

Celebrating my Auntie Titilayo’s life 🙏🏽🪬✨

My Cousin Tony (Tit’s oldest son) along with the Watoto of @cascholars as lead by Mama Etosha Yaa & Mama Naimah Aluqdah- Muhammad and Tata Christian Harris as well as Mama Paula Brooks (Titi’s life long Sistahfriend) put on a Fabulous Memorial Service Celebration of Life that was truly worthy of my Auntie’s life ✨🪬🧜🏾‍♀️

My Titilayo ‘is’ a Titan among people just as my Mom ‘is’ 😇

I guess that’s the caliber of Humans my Grandma Annie Elizabeth Greene Anderson brings to the world 😇. May she rest in heaven.

Titi is a Saint, a Sage, a Guru 🙏🏽

I have never seen my Auntie eat anything that was not good for the body. I mean never a junk food ever!

She walked between dimensions and worlds and was Greeted lovingly by all.

She’s a SEER.

Because of her, I didn’t seem strange among my family members, rather we both seem to be visitors to our bloodline. Lol

She was in colorful, festive garb even when she was just going to yoga or biking.

The way she adorned herself in fabrics, aromas and sacred jewelry and a meditative disposition was Majestic and seemingly otherworldly ✨🧜🏾‍♀️✨

Me and my Auntie have done many wonderful things together and I always felt at home in the beautiful home temples she always created for herself 🪬

Everyone always said that because of my ways and my personal culture that it seemed like I was more Titi’s daughter than niece.

What an honor 🪬✨🙏🏽🧜🏾‍♀️🌙

She has always been a Mystic. She’s beyond even her personhood as she in this life time truly realized her true self as the indwelling consciousness.
