archive 11.4.2017 / Denver / Buell Theatre

Nasty Kidz performing at Breakin’ Convention, the London based Street Dance Theatre show when it came to Denver.

This piece, DNA, also toured to the International San Francisco Hip Hop Festival.

I’ve been revisiting so much footage from this era, the influence from The BBoy Factory, from Yia, Enock + Kaylin on my dance + honestly life trajectory during those years is immeasurable.

I’m really grateful for those days in the back room, we were in there like every night cooking. For me it was a golden era, Meadowlark Kitchen with Soulrane too. If you know you know 🤍

Many many many moons ago in a town far far away… Denver, there was an amazing restaurant called Meadowlark Kitchen. The vibe was dope, the staff was outrageous and the burger…. My god the burger was fantastic. They even painted a mural of it 🤣

But you know what made the place so special? The owner Casey. God dang he was such a cool guy who genuinely cared about his community, the culture and above all else he cared about you and whether or not you were enjoying yourself. I love you Casey and I will never forget those bad ass times I had in your spot. Thank you for being you my man 🤘🫶

I've never seen @officialjackwhite in a venue as small as Denver's @bluebirdtheater, and I probably never will again. And I swear there is no limit to his talent. I wish you could have been there with me, because these don't do justice, but thanks to all the wonderful friends, old and new, who were there to witness him with me that night.

Denver’s art scene is poppin’!

Stopped by Rooster Mags Art Fest today at ReelWorks Denver on a beautiful first day of Fall and dang!

Came home with a Mike Graves Kid Robotz “Munny” and a Chris Havens mini piece, triangle cat pin and shirt. Met some new creatives and I am in love with two artists that work with black lines.

Art is medicine. 💊

So so good to hug on some friends from the block.
