“I have seen good change,” she said. “But I am seeing change again.” Ms. Williams said that politicians are trying to push blacks and women backward. She said the younger generation will not stand for moving backward.

Louisville Book Festival was such a delightful blend of experiences for this ✍️ author!! Supported by a dedicated team with such a commendable mission and true literary spirit in @authordeedeecummings & Melissa Gaddie, with wonderful volunteers and working alongside a stellar independent bookstore @carmichaelsbookstore was a dream!! Meeting a brilliant array of authors from across the country such as @kwick700 @authorhopegibbs @amba.elieff @jeffreydlofton @danklefstad @magnetrose @shitbagwriter @sangiaoparga, Nadine Condon and so many others, warmed my bookish heart 📚🩵and emptied my wallet ☺️😅!!
I won the prize for best table neighbor and felt the bright light of @caseybradleygent 🌟 and @baibaiandco for two full festival days and surely beyond!!! I was also able to present a panel on trauma writing with the inimitable @realtalkwithtanyawhite 💫 and give a presentation on shining the spotlight on survivors. I must give the best supporting character award to @goosedaddy11, without whom I’d laugh far less and be ridiculously lost ❤️.
And last but never least- Readers - you blew me away with your love and kindness. Thank you for being so generous and engaged with me and my work!! I’ll never forget the trust many of you have placed in me.
