One of my favourite things Instagram has given me is something I never expected when I first started sharing my love for books: a beautiful community I can now call friends. 🥹

It started with books, but somehow became so much more. We share our favourite stories, scream over fictional men, enable each other’s TBRs 😂, celebrate book mail, and somehow make friendships through a screen feel so real.

So today, I want to shine a little light on some of my new bookish friends who I genuinely think deserve SO much more hype. 🫶🏻

this was my first ever @carissabroadbentbooks book and it did not disappoint! i actually didn’t realise that this was the fifth book in the series but the way it was written, everything was explained perfectly! the world building was incredible.

we follow our divine warrior, kyrene and our vampire prince, septimus. kyrene is probably one of my favourite female characters i’ve read about. she’s fierce, full of rage & unapologetically herself! septimus, septimus, septimus!! the vampire of all vampires. i am OBSESSED with him. he was snarky, a survivalist & sooo cunning!

a very special mention to zefiah, the sword that kyrene wields throughout this book! her sarcastic nature was one of my favourite parts of this book. zefiah was entertaining, had a slightly motherly touch whilst also being powerful!

i need the next book like immediately because the last 10% was PAIN. also, im definitely going to read the first four books very soon!! i would most definitely recommend going in blind because it enhances the reading experience!

🤪 Another Haul 🤪

I do love book buying so here I am this fine Thursday with ANOTHER haul🫡

The first book I actually didn’t buy!!! My bestie @caseybrightbooks surprised me last week and bought me the Names by Florence Knapp which we are planning on buddy reading next time!❤️

I am nothing if not a slut for a sprayed edge so I of course had to pick up Power Play by Chelsea Curo when I spotted it in @theworksstores I mean it would have been rude not to🫦

I also had to pick up Storm Breaker by Nisha J Tuli from Amazon as they had this stunning edition for only 10£👏🏼

My bookshelves are full, my bank is not💃🏼

It was book club day yesterday for @thatswhatshereadlurgan

What started as a disaster with the smallest group we have had since starting, turned into a cosy fun time☀️

I then was given the shock of my life just before the quiz when @caseybrightbooks turned up to surprise me! I will never get over it and still cannot believe @sarahh.readsss managed to keep me under wraps!

An amazing day filled with love and laughs 💕

at its core, “no matter what” follows married couple roz & vin, who after an accident that injured and traumatised them, find their marriage is in a worrying position. we follow their journey to fix their marriage and heal their hearts✨

at first glance, a lot of people will pick up on the miscommunication & steer away from this book but somehow, @carabastone managed to make it work! her writing is so poetic & enticing. she has an incredible talent for writing about relationships that are so raw, real & grounded🥺

cara bastone places a gentle yet powerful emphasis on PTSD which really got me thinking. how many of us saying “i’m fine” or “i’m okay” even when we’re not just because it seems like the easier option? something that stuck with me throughout reading this book was the importance of making sure you take care of yourself before anything else 🩷

as someone who absolutely loves a marriage in crisis/second chance romance, i was shocked to realise that their reconciliation wasn’t even my favourite part of this book. roz’s journey of self love & self discovery stole the show for me🥹

a huge, huge thank you to hannah @headlineeternal for sending me an early copy of this book. i feel so grateful and blessed! 🤍

i have been in such an awful content slump for a hot minute but i’m finally back!! you can expect regular posts again🤭

a little reading update: i’m currently in between two books! i’ve been reading “this woven kingdom” & “the night we met”. im really enjoying both of my current reads, they’re so different but both equally interesting! 🤍

can we take a moment for my gorgeous kindle case? it was so kindly gifted to me by the lovely @cobakcase 🥹
they have been so patient with me & just so lovely in general! i absolutely love the case! it’s the cutest case to transition into spring with! (although with the cold weather we’ve been having, it doesn’t even feel like spring🥲😫) please do go check them out!! 💗
