BIG THANK YOU to @caseyleeharris @friendometriosis_ for supporting my Endometriosis event and sharing her own story.

It's not easy for most people to stand in front of strangers and talk about anything, never mind their personal health journey of pain and suffering.

She did such a great job and other women could definitely relate to different elements of her journey with others learning new things about Endometriosis too.

So pleased we met at a wedding and that you've moved to Harrogate! 💛

💛 Last night was simply fabulous!! 💛

The women that came together to hear stories from fellow Endo sisters, connect and learn were just amazing.

Huge thank you to @friendometriosis_ @caseyleeharris for being my sidekick and so open and honest about her journey and experiences so far. Very different from my own so great comparison!

There was a definite appetite for this to become a regular monthly event in Harrogate so watch this space 👀

Hello!

I’ve been very quiet on the post front for a while, but I’ve still been doing my bit to raise awareness of endo 💛

I work for @northernrailway, and I was asked to hold an endometriosis/women’s health event in March. During my presentation, I shared my journey with the condition and the basics of endo.

We then discussed women’s health as railway employees at length. I heard some truly awful ways in which the women who attended had been treated. We’ve come a long way, but it was clear from the discussion that there’s still so much to do! 🎗

We also invited my fellow @thehygienebankyork volunteer Charlotte to join us and share how we make a difference in the community. I bloody love the Hygiene Bank and urge you to find out your local drop-off points, head to their website, and type in your post code to see the closest one.

We’ve all heard of food banks, but the work we do at the Hygiene Bank is just as important. No one should have to choose between washing their clothes or having dinner.

Pics include me mid endo presentation, the Hygiene Bank meeting we had in January, and a cute outfit I wore a few weeks ago because why the hell not? 😆

🚨 Also, I know I used an image of a uterus in my endo presentation, and yes, I am well aware that endo is not just a reproductive organ condition. My endo is there, and it was a presentation about my journey, so please don't come for me 🤣🚨

It was great to be invited by Network Rail to present on behalf of @thehygienebankyork at their ‘Women in Rail’ meeting yesterday.

There is some superb work going on with Network Rail and LNER supporting women and trailblazing with new ideas within their organisations.

Thank you @caseyleeharris @friendometriosis_ for organising, we are so excited to move forward with the fantastic ideas the team came up with to help support The Hygiene Bank in York.
