Bad Jews by Joshua Harmon, April 2026

Though it ended up NOT being my final time in a stage management position at Northwestern, the impact this show had on me was immeasurable. Being in a room where I felt represented, where we had conversations I’ve been longing to have, creating challenging and potentially risky theatre was a dream come true, and with a team and a cast like this the reward of this production was only heightened.
@sheafrimmer deserves the world, and will conquer it, as she tirelessly puts forward work this campus and community need to see (just wait for her show next year) and having her as my fearless leader and confidant was better than I could have ever dreamed it would be. I can only hope students here and elsewhere see her work and are inspired to put forward their own untold stories.

Of course a huge thank you to all involved and all who came to see it, with a special shoutout to those who stayed for and participated in our talkbacks.

When the biggest day of the year begins to unravel, students across campus are pulled into a fast-moving collision of ambition, chaos, and unexpected connection. Set over the course of one unforgettable Dillo Day, Dillo Day Disaster takes audiences on a whirlwind journey through libraries, parties, jail cells, underground lairs, and the Lakefill itself—celebrating Northwestern traditions, campus culture, and the pressure-packed mythology of “the biggest day of the year.” By turns hilarious, heartfelt, and spectacular, the show asks what it really means to be a hero when the plan falls apart and the spotlight doesn’t shine the way you expected.

Ahhh… The intoxicating smell of the graveyard. Once a year, we gather beneath our Family Tree, to honor the great cycle of life and death.

It has taken the closing of two incredible shows for me to come to terms with the fact that this show is over. Thank you to this entire cast, crew and creative team. What a magical and wonderfully kooky process this was and I will miss it dearly. So much love to my Addams Family. 🖤🥀
