"I think that femininity will always be related to consumption" says the artist Casey who creates works that are immediately read as pleasant and palatable since this is what she has always been asked to do with herself.

Every work in this collection harbors the discomfort of an angry teenager who stifles frustration by distracting himself with bright colors and carefree shapes like those of toys.

The viewer could unpack these seemingly friendly elements, only to realize that the works have an unexpected side or are decaying.

The ephemeral of Casey’s work is extremely important. The materials chosen will be either permanent or will rot quickly. Easily altered steel and plastic will probably outlive us all. Without the voice of the artist, they are free to evolve into something completely unknown and independent.
