seu conf recap: Most people attend conferences. Few seek an encounter. There is a difference. One is an event. The other is an altar.

Conferences are inviting and full of fun! You see the speakers, reunite with friends, meet new people, and the atmosphere feels freeing. It is easy to be stirred and moved. But it is also easy to return home and feel reality press back in until what you heard feels distant.

That happens when we mistake a gathering for the goal. It was never about a conference. It has always been about Jesus.

The room is filled with hungry souls crying out together. There is something holy about a generation seeking Him at the same time. When hearts are united in surrender, it is not emotionalism. It is sacred. It is revolutionary if you allow the Spirit to move. Revival is with you. Stop asking God to send revival and become the revival.

A conference is meant to transform you so when you leave, you carry the fire into dark places. The pastors and speakers are vessels sent to equip and mobilize the Church. @jennieallen you nailed it. We were never called to be consumers. We were never meant to wait for a song to make us “feel” something. We were called to be filled and poured out.

An encounter with Jesus is monumental. It reaches beneath the surface and exposes what has been hidden. It confronts pride and uproots fear. I know this because it happened to me. It did not come from hype or a sermon. It came when I was on my knees, still before Him. In that stillness, Jesus met me and reminded me of the vision He placed inside of me.

This year at SEU Conference was different. The Lord dealt with my pride and my desire to please people. In past years I would ask who He wanted me to pray for. This year He called me to the altar for myself. He wanted me free, not only for me, but for my husband, my family, and those I minister to.

SEU was beautiful, but what made it holy was obedience. You may see the photos and hotel moments, but they do not compare to what God did in that room.

A conference can be an event. An encounter will change your life.
