@bluherfavecolor + @sndtrak’s “LA” is a laser-focused, unsparing love letter to a city that can be grim and glitzy, a real place where real people live. Blu goes beyond the Hollywood tropes and even the now classic imagery from West Coast hip-hop. But the album is certainly built on love for that same West Coast style, with lyrics pulled from familiar tracks and that soulful endless summer production...layered with Oakland beatmaker Sndtrak’s experimental production. “LA” feels vividly alive thanks to smart storytelling, intriguing beats, and two exceptional artists operating at the top of their game. It’s out now on CD and vinyl via @naturesounds. Major Shoutouts 2 : @cashusking @dinovolume10hawkins 👑🗣️🎙️🎼🏆✨ @the_original_med @ghettofresh_clothing 👑™️

Los Angeles emcee @cashusking and producer @mwaisome have joined forces for ‘The Greatest Album Never Heard’, a richly textured project blending boom-bap, psychedelic soul, and futuristic soundscapes. Across the record, M.Waisome builds a world of lush instrumentation, atmospheric samples, warm grooves, and spacey electronics, giving King room to rap with purpose through intricate, poetic, and reflective lyricism.

The chemistry is clear on opener “Rhythm Nation,” where King lays down razor-sharp bars over expansive production, creating a strong balance between rich instrumentation and direct vocal presence. “Sabbath,” featuring @bluherfavcolor, pushes into atmospheric territory with expressive sampling and punchy percussion framing imagery-heavy performances. “Save the Music,” featuring @scottysterlingofficial, incorporates soulful reggae influences, while “Ahead of Our Time,” featuring @godbodyscience, highlights an easy chemistry over forward-looking production.

Elsewhere, tracks like “$elf Worth” and “Now N Later” showcase smoother, airy textures, while “Osiris” weaves electronic elements into a soulful backdrop. The project concludes with “Limitless,” where weightless keys and synths back an impassioned performance that brings the album’s psychedelic character into full focus.

What makes ‘The Greatest Album Never Heard’ compelling is its consistent vision. Rather than chasing a single sound, the pair move seamlessly through soulful grooves, hazy samples, and electronic textures without losing their identity. M.Waisome creates expansive landscapes, and Cashus King fills them with vivid storytelling and densely woven rhymes—resulting in a deeply immersive record that reveals more of itself with every listen.

@bluherfavcolor x @sndtrak — LA is a 10-track trip through the grittier side of Los Angeles, with Blu and Sndtrak reworking the language of G-funk from a streetwise, non-affiliate perspective. Instead of leaning on gang imagery for identity, the project feels more like observation — block-by-block storytelling, neighborhood texture, hard-earned wisdom, and that unmistakable West Coast atmosphere.

The guest list helps make it feel like a real citywide tour, with appearances from @djrevolution , @dinovolume10hawkins , @ICECOLDBISHOP, @cashusking , @kingthurz , @clearlyitslike , @iman_omari , @prophiphop , @babyripgut , @the_original_med , and G-Kidd. Each voice adds another corner of L.A. to the picture without overcrowding it.

What makes LA work is that it understands the tradition without simply copying it. The funk, bass, drums, and street-level perspective are familiar, but the album feels reflective and lived-in rather than nostalgic for nostalgia’s sake.

It sounds like Los Angeles from the curb instead of the postcard. 🌴💙

The early response to The Greatest Album Never Heard has been incredible, and I’m genuinely grateful to everyone who has taken the time to listen.

@phontigallo once said “I played this record a million times…Just hoping you would play it once”. That line hits a little different now.

So whether you’ve listened once, shared it with someone, added a song to a playlist, or reached out directly…thank you.

Taking the time to listen just once means more than you probably realize.

And a BIG SHOUT OUT to @imahmedamin for the incredible artwork. You’re extremely talented.

It’s finally here!

The Greatest Album Never Heard is OUT NOW 🛸

It’s hard to put into words what it feels like to finally say that. What started with Cashus and I sending music back and forth between LA and Miami turned into years of creating, tweaking second guessing, believing, and pushing ourselves to make something we could truly be proud of.

Today I mostly feel excitement, relief, and pride. Excited that everyone can finally hear what we’ve been working on. Relieved that it’s finally out of our hands and belongs to whoever discovers it. And proud of everything it took for us to get here.

We made the album we wanted to make. No chasing trends. No trying to be something we’re not. Just two dope artists who believed.
