“Different And I Like It” (我喜歡不一樣) — Live at Mayfield 🎤

This is one of the two songs nominated for the Zulya Kamalova Award at the 2026 AFMA Awards @folk_alliance_australia — and singing it live is always something else…

Co-written with @tennysonking, this one’s about being the minority in the western world — the discomfort, and the joy, of being different 🌼🧡

Filmed at Mayfield, Naarm (Melbourne)
Recorded live by @louismontgomerymusic
Filmed by: @casimaria
Video editing: @enniday.project
Executive Producer: @thismuchtalentau

Rest of the crew: Dimitrios Pouliotis @dimpoul09, Faris Green, Braydon Rotunno, Prince George, Samuel Moore, Ola Suberu
Thank you to these amazing people for capturing this day so beautifully… 🌻

Freelance life can be isolating. Finding people who understand what you do, who you can work alongside, share ideas with and grab a coffee with, can make a big difference.

So, this year, our focus has been on growing a stronger sense of community in the studio.

A space where freelancers and creatives could feel a little less like they’re doing it all on their own - a place where there’s room for connection, collaboration and just having good people around 🗣️

Here we are with (most of) our growing community of creatives, and we’re really excited to see what the rest of the year brings in the studio.

Want to be part of it? We’ve got events, a mailing list, community opportunities, hot-desk availability, new resident creative openings and other ways to get involved.

If you’re a freelancer looking for some like-minded people to work alongside or hang out with, shoot us a DM. We’d love to hear from you! 📸

WOW. We’re still in shock at how beautiful last Friday was. ❤️‍🔥

Seeing people who have been with us since the very first Chuleo still there with us today is honestly crazy. Watching this community grow, dance, show up and keep believing in what we’re building means everything.

First, we want to thank @nowornever.melb for the incredible support. Every single person on the team was an absolute gem, and we’re so grateful for the care and trust you gave us to bring our vision to life.

To @legallyangelfabfuria and @sirenamatilde_ alongside all our ballroom kids you brought LIFE to that room. The energy, the attitude, the love and all the hard work you put into this was reflected in every single moment on that stage. You made the whole show feel so special TKMMMM❤️‍🔥

To our reinas from @its__noreply thank you for always showing up and helping us create the world around Chuleo and making everything look so beautiful.

And to our insane lineup @lizzlov3 @slimsoledad and @dinamarca117 there couldn’t have been a better musical journey for this night. Different corners of our LATAM sounds coming together under one roof, each of you bringing your own world and energy. So much respect and love for every one of these artists.

GRACIAS to our backstage media team @kidotki @ab.i.ali and @dariengomes 💘 our makeup queens @nymph3rella and @kitsch.makeup.world our artist liaison angels @giralphe @simplykaio @dani.zabaleta0 and @gata_delgado for styling our queens and making them look unreal.

To our official video team @ttwominds @corbantupou @josh.carlier thank you for documenting this madness. And to our reina forever @casimaria for always capturing the essence of Chuleo in a way only you can. ❤️

So proud of what we created together and so grateful to every single person who was part of it. Thank you for showing up, trusting us, and giving it ALL.

From our first Chuleo to Melbourne Town Hall… WOW 🥲

See you next year? 👀
