The Utah Climbing Team crushed at the Collegiate National Championship this weekend! All of our climbers did amazing this year and we are so proud of every one of our athletes.

We are also psyched to win the overall team championship for the third year running🥇in addition to sweeping the podium in bouldering and coming second in sport climbing.

A special shout out to our athletes @sophia_climbs, @pecan_butters, @nathan_monte_, @isaacleff7, @jack.felix_ , @juliatduffy , @joshgreenbaum_ and @ethanfreudenheim for qualifying for collegiate worlds this fall in Slovenia!

Thanks so much to @arcteryxutah and @sandbar_calluscare for supplying the team with some incredible gear! And thanks to @altaclimbingaz and @usaclimbing for putting on an unforgettable event.

Psyched to take down my third V12 this spring!Euro Trash V12!

Had a sick day out with @utahclimbingteam and was able to put this one down after only having one session on Euro Roof V10 in the fall. I’ve put a lot of work into my weaknesses over the winter, a big one being bicep power on underclings so very excited to see it paying off!

Film of the first two V12s I did will be coming out in a project that I am working on and very excited to share in the near future.

Always a good time in the valley of Joe, but this time I able to crank out a quick back2back on Pegasus v15 and then 20 minutes later Sound of Violence v14 on a terrible attempt 😭. Mega support from the crew and a whole lotta sun rays☀️ it was a good weekend.

I set a what I thought was a pretty lofty goal, to send all of what I consider the classic hard blocs in Joe’s (the 6 classic 13’s, insurgency, and pegasus). All done.
Projects and obscura 🔜
Gotta dream bigger…

📸NATIONALS 23’🧗‍♂️
Team Arete showed some amazing sportsmanship in the past couple weeks at nationals in SLC, and we couldn’t be more proud of them!!! These kids went up against some of the best in the country, and really outdid themselves! Yes, we had some highs and lows, but in the end our kiddos only left stronger than before.
Here are some highlights:
Cass (FJR) earning the title of 13th best in her category in bouldering, and 36th in sport ⭐️
Soren (MYA) achieving 9th place in speed qualis, and 18th in semis, so speedy
🏎️💨
Theo (MYB) pothrough sport semis, and earning 16th place!
Gustavo (MYB) placing 35th in bouldering, while FLASHING 2/6!! 💥
Honorary member Noah (MYB) getting 30th in bouldering, and 37th in sport!!🥳
And Katara (FYB) competing in ALL 3 CATEGORIES, flying into 25th place in speed, soaring to 39th in sport, and landing into 35th in bouldering!! 🫶🙌
Thank you to @thefrontclimbing for hosting Nats this year, @usa_tc for hosting bouldering, as well as @thetallbeta, @theshortbeta, and many others for capturing our moments on film!!
Til’ next year 😚
