Young Dems of Wheeling Township had a great time volunteering, speaking, and writing birthday cards at the @bg_pride @glensfriends @highwoodpride @lakecountydems MLK Jr. Day Action Lunch in Prospect Heights! Thanks to Carolyn Pinta for organizing this wonderful event and supporting the local LGBTQ+ community in Wheeling Township.

You hear of many wars and tragedies throughout history, but Ireland’s are examples that are sadly not talked about enough. Seeing this memorial at the Kilmainham Gaol (jail) in Dublin makes this feel like it deserves to have the same importance as other major tragic events that happened in human history.

✪

This comes from someone like myself with deep Irish roots. 🇮🇪

In what better city would there be for me to experience my first ever pub crawl than in the Guinness capital of Dublin? 🍺

✪

Even though I didn’t drink any beer throughout, I got to learn quite a bit of Dublin’s history, including some historical events surrounding its pubs. It was a fun night nonetheless!

Our tour around Trinity College in Dublin felt like a journey through a giant magical library! 📚

✪

This was definitely a place I wanted to see inside after my first trip here in 2013. On my study abroad trip in 2022, my prayers were answered!

The day we got to Ireland on our study abroad, I knew we were all in for a wild good time! ☘️

✪

I also managed to backtrack my way to Birmingham the day after riding through to visit Force Thirteen HQ, so I was able to get my bearings a bit on the way back to the Emerald Isle!
