this is the hardest goodbye.
today was my final dance recital after 15 years, and i truly couldn't have imagined a better ending to this chapter of my life. this studio has been so much more than just a place to dance. this is where i grew up. this is where i found my love for dance. this is where i found some of the best people i will ever know. this is where i became who i am. thank you Irby for being my home away from home for the past 15 years. thank you for the best memories, the best friends, and the best teachers i could have ever asked for. thank you for every late night rehearsal, every competition weekend, every recital weekend, every laugh, every lesson, every hug, and every moment that made this place feel like home. dance gave me so much more than trophies or routines ever could. it gave me confidence, lifelong friendships, role models i look up to more than words can explain, and memories that i will carry with me forever. i will always be grateful for every single person who was part of this journey. it's impossible to fully put into words what this chapter has meant to me, because dance has been such a huge part of my life for as long as i can remember. walking off stage tonight for the last time was emotional in every way, but i know how lucky i am to have experienced something that made saying goodbye this hard.
this will always be such a special part of me. forever thankful for these 15 years and forever thankful for my Irby fam!!🩵🩵🩵
