Shabaz Asks: Are Billionaires Bad? - BBC iPlayer You can make your own decision on what you think the answer is but what I know is for years rich people have existed. I am always shocked by the ridiculous amounts they spend, one could argue they work hard it’s their money but you don’t get to the top without screwing people over and being ruthless, it’s also obvious that being rich means different rules, you can get away with a lot it’s as if the law doesn’t apply to you. Also the treatment of other individuals by billionaires isn’t always nice as shared by the anonymous people featured in this documentary (Masks and cloaks reminded me of the Traitors - Genius move that!) It is unfair how many people suffer and the rich get richer but this is the way of life, people become jealous, not everyone has the same opportunities. If you can help others then do but again if someone doesn’t want to then that’s on them, we can’t force people to give their money away, you never know some people may do this quietly. I do wonder how some jobs still pay a lot while other jobs it’s barely minimum wage, the rules need to change on that to help people in terms of wages and the cost of living crisis, getting people in to work and get on the property ladder but many things can stop this from happening. All I can say is money makes the world go round and money is the root of evil, people can also be changed by it. On another note I enjoyed Shabaz’s style of questioning and interviewing and his humour and I do see Shabaz Asks becoming a series #shabazasks #arebillionairesbad #shabazsays #povvogang #bbciplayer

“Almost” started as a short, last-minute piece I wrote for my composition class, with no intention of releasing it. I kept coming back to it a few times but never knew how to finish it, and I never quite felt an intense connection with the song either. That was until the end of last year, when I was browsing through old projects, I instantly resonated with it - as if I wrote this piece for a future me. The first minute is exactly how I originally wrote it. The rest used to have these electronic elements that never really fit, so I completely scrapped them and rewrote it with cello, violin, and piano, and it finally feels like the song it was always meant to be 🥹 - “Almost” tells a story about two people who keep finding their way back to each other - just never at the right time. The song channels the frustration, anger, and sadness of that cycle. - Thank you to my most precious string players and everyone else involved: Cello @klaraschumann Violin @jessie_wy_ Recording engineer @arzhproduction Mix @danielspadlomusic Master @robeb
