somewhere in between a whole lot of 4:30am coffee shop shifts, unending hours of practice, and spending time with some pretty awesome people - i ended up with a degree in violin, married to my best friend, and about to move to Philadelphia…crazy year man

Pamina mein, O welch ein Glück! This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to debut one of my dream roles at the historic Estates Theatre in Prague. This experience taught me so much about myself and my relationship to the art form that I love, and I will be forever grateful for it. I want to thank my wonderful Papageno @realmaverickw and Tamino @ryhughes6, I couldn't have asked for better friends and artists to share the stage with. Pamina, you were a dream💜

Happy World Theatre Day! It’s only fitting to share the two operas from my senior year’s college production of Puccini’s double bill: Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi! Missing Lamont and all of these amazingly talented people everyday!

Suor Genovieffa and Lauretta were dream roles✨I can’t wait to see what the future has in store!

one of the best summers of my life

The summer of tucking in my shirt and getting paid to have fun.

the summer of chipmunks breaking into my cabin, the summer of catching a mouse with a trash bag,
the summer of teaching high schoolers how to clean a sink and a toilet (and how to flush a toilet at points)
the summer of making a so many friends
the summer of learning hundreds of names
the summer of questionable food
the summer of not practicing enough (but it’s ok)
the summer of a million lessons
the summer of even more mistakes
the summer of long days and short nights
and the summer that wasn’t long enough

I can’t say thank you enough, to every single person in Lakeside Bluffs for creating the most fun summer of my life. Specially thank you to my co-counselor and unit leader, @naominiekerk for being my rock these past 2 months, for being the best “grandpa” to our girls, and for pushing me to be my very best. i think a quote that fits very well is “because i knew you, i have been changed for good”
This is good night and not goodbye my friends. till next june
