I’m excited to continue my lacrosse journey at Castleton and keep playing the game I love. Thank you Coach Snitz and Coach Goodman for this opportunity. I want to thank my dad for getting me into the sport of lacrosse and teaching me everything I know as well as every coach i’ve had throughout my life.

I am beyond thrilled to announce my commitment to play lacrosse at Vermont State University Castleton!

First and foremost, I want to thank God for blessing me with this incredible opportunity. A huge shoutout to Coach Snitz and the entire Castleton coaching staff for believing in me and giving me a shot at the next level.

To my parents, thank you for all the early morning rides, sacrifices, and unwavering support, I wouldn’t be here without you. Massive appreciation to my coaches, teammates, and friends who encouraged me every step of the way. I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Please help us welcome Mike Ruggiero as @smcwlax's new head coach!

During the past 2 years at fellow NCAA DII Converse, he was offensive coordinator and head recruiter, and helped the Valkyries qualify for a Conference Carolinas quarterfinal in 2026

Mike has a strong track record as a college and high school coach and college recruiter, and returns to Vermont after graduating from VTSU Castleton in 2015
