Last few days of our "adventure" and what an adventure it was! ♥️ Lovely Airbnb with a pool north of Cosenza made a fantastic home base for our wandering. Took a dip in the ocean on the east side of the coastline in the lonian Sea because, why not? Then
back to Rome for one night before we got back on the plane. Sweet little hotel one block from the ocean was a completely different side of Rome than we had seen on the way in. Can’t put into words how amazing it was to do this trip of a lifetime with our kids @cattyshack , @lauracatalano05 and of course Benjamino and Ravioli ♥️💚♥️💚 The bambino’s were amazing travellers and the adults did pretty good too lol. Saluté 🍷

Yesterday’s adventure was to the tiny little town that Randy’s papa came from 100 years ago. Took two hours to drive 85 km’s, driving back and forth and back and forth up and down the little mountains but it was absolutely breathtaking scenery and a very cool way to spend the day.

We got to meet Randy’s old friend from grade school today as a pit stop on our drive through Calabria. Had a lovely authentic lunch and then a little visit to his home. Thank you Gino!!

Had a great afternoon at La Masseria Agriturisma. Toured their family farm with lemons and olive groves, chestnut trees, bees, and various veggies and herbs. Then they fed us a delicious 4 course meal with homemade wine and limoncello. Grazie! @la_masseria_farm ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When in Sorrento what should you do? Take the boat to Positano of course 😋. What an amazing adventure we had today. Busing from our Airbnb in Massa Lubrense to the Sorrento marina, hopping on a ferry and heading out to sea. Never thought I’d be able to say we went to a beach club in Positano but we sure did. Gorgeous warm water and gentle waves, this might be my all time favourite ocean beach.

Had a couple quiet days to end our stay in Tuscany but now we are back at it. Yesterday was a very busy travel day with a tour of Herculaneum along the way. That’s Mount Vesuvius in the background 🌋 There’s a chance this was our hottest day yet 🥵 but it was definitely worth it. Thank you to our tour guide Lina who was amazing ♥️

Had a fantastic tour and wine tasting at Verrazzano Winery today. We randomly found this winery in a castle the other day and came back for a tour today. Soooo glad we did!! The original Verranzzano was an explorer who found Staten Island and the Narrows. And the original Florentine soccer team was founded here 100 years ago… So obviously they were pretty big fans of Benny and his kit. See the photo of Ben and the current owner having a little chat lol. Thank you for such a lovely afternoon Verranzzano ♥️♥️

Yesterday was a very busy travel day. Our first time on an Italian train, we moved locations from Rome to Florence. Got to see our boy Tim and meet his family which was so amazing!!! Then off to our Airbnb to relax. I think we are gonna like it here 😊
