🔥 16 YEARS OF CATALYST WEST PALM BEACH 🔥

16 years of culture.
16 years of community.
16 years of keeping Hip-Hop authentic.

This celebration is bigger than just an anniversary — it’s a celebration of the Breaking community and the culture that brought us here.

We’re talking Breaking. Golden Era Hip-Hop. Authentic movement.
The foundation. The music. The cyphers. The battles. The knowledge. The people.

Before the trends, before the algorithms, before everybody had a platform — there was the culture. 🥁🎤🎨🕺🏾

Catalyst has helped create a space where dancers can learn, grow, battle, teach, connect, and most importantly, keep the culture moving forward without forgetting where it came from.

16 years deep… and the cypher is still open.

West Palm Beach — we’re celebrating YOU.
Come represent. Come dance. Come learn. Come witness. Come be part of the culture.

For this year’s @catalysthh_561 anniversary, I dedicated the promo in celebration of @maxart_miami.

Max was a major pillar in our West Palm community, a mentor who shaped my understanding of hip hop culture and what it means to live this lifestyle. Coming up, he showed me that it was possible to dive into multiple elements, master them, share them, all while being yourself. He was incredibly encouraging throughout my journey as an artist, dancer, and collector of music.

I approached these three portraits of Max based on three different eras, each representing one of the elements: Graffiti, Breakin, and DJing.

For the winning trophies, I used three records from his personal collection (certified heat) and replaced the labels with the letters he originally painted for Catalyst WPB’s second location, along with his signature on the back. Each was packaged in a 12” sleeve with a unique price stamp to showcase the love he had for records. The trophies were won by three of Miami’s new generation of breakers, making that connection feel full circle.

It’s been an honor to know Max, and I wouldn’t be the artist I am today without his mentorship.

RIP 🙏

A month later, and the gratitude is still real.
This jam reminded us why community matters, how art brings us together, and what happens when people show up with heart.

Thank you to every single person who made this day possible.
The dancers, battle participants, judges, DJs, host, vendors, volunteers, donors, photographers, videographers, and everyone who walked through the doors.
Your energy, your time, your presence… it didn’t go unnoticed 💙

This wasn’t just an event. It was community in motion.

We can’t wait to share the impact, the love, and everyone WE ALL helped support.
So much is already in motion and there’s a lot more coming.

We can’t stop. Won’t stop. 💙🔥

🎥 Recap video by Mila — thank you for capturing the heart of this day so beautifully.

Catalyst Hip Hop. A place I experienced in early 2000’s at a jam that was representing all the elements in Miami. Not knowing what it actually stood for, my only focus was the breaking, graffiti, Deejays and emcees. I was just taking it all in. Years later West Palm Beach scene was blessed with its own catalyst, and shortly after that there I was serving the youth and adults. Sharing my very own testimony to not only Hip Hop but to how God utilized Hip Hop in my favor to keep me out of trouble and get connected with some amazing people. My brother and best friend, @willstylz79__ thank so much for this acknowledgment, and thank you for your continued support, obedience and desire to keep catalyst west palm beach afloat. If anyone deserves a plaque and or acknowledgment it’s you. So thank you my bro 🙏🏼
