I felt the nudge to reboot The Alchemy of Pain podcast.

The nudge came after reading how simply NAMING feelings can reduce emotional pain.

I considered my own upbringing.

Emotions were suppressed rather than processed; a toxic pattern that led me to betray myself over and over again in my marriage, professional life, and the people and organizations with which I aligned.

Then I discovered that an old friend had created a game to help children name and process their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors! I wanted to know more, so I visited with transformation coach and Catching Thoughts creator Jayne Boggs for a deeply honest conversation about emotional healing, self-awareness, and the science behind naming our feelings.

The episode also dives into deeper themes of codependency, boundaries, marriage struggles, authenticity, and the courage it takes to stop abandoning yourself to keep others comfortable. Jayne vulnerably shares how her own painful season ultimately led to transformation, creativity, and purpose.

This heartfelt conversation (that includes ME playing the game with a real-life sticky situation) is a reminder that pain does not have to define us. It can refine us.

And sometimes, healing begins with something as simple and brave as telling the truth about how we really feel.

Enjoy the episode, which you can find on YouTube and Spotify (LINK IN BIO).

And if you or someone you know has a story of pain leading to purpose, contact me! I love to share stories that inspire you to "VICI" (conquer) the challenges of life.
