My Lookbook For @sjalsfran.de Pt 1: Experimentation in oversizing proportions with high end streetwear

I love @sjalsfran.de From the minute l linked with the owner and smashed out my first shoot with them I knew there was something special about the brand.

And so, after the brand took a two year hiatus designing and cooking up, we’re back and l’ve done my first bit of brand styling!!!!

During this shoot, I experimented heavily with proportions, as I’ve always been fascinated with moving out of the box of everything having to be snug and tight. I thoroughly enjoyed mixing and matching garms to provide unique outfit colour ways, it scratched my brain nicely.
I always say that focusing on the clothes is a thing of the past, and it is in fact the proportions that make the outfit. You wear the clothes, the clothes don’t wear you.

Each outfit was quite simple on paper: jacket t shirt sweatpants etc. but the high quality materials mixed with the sheer versatility and wide array of utilities on the garments mixed with the emphasised oversizing of the outfits gave the looks such a brilliant unique vibe that just screams “Själ!”

Though it is all still streetwear, it kind of felt like I was working with moncler itself. It was such a brilliant process working with such amazing creatives, all to provide marketing for a product miles ahead of what most of the streetwear market in Melbourne is capable of producing.

Regardless of the tact the garms are coded to comtort and practicality, whether they are put on the runway or on the street these looks would definitely stand out. And as I realised this I got more and more confident as the shoot went on.

In fact, I found no matter who got put in what the geometrical shapes of the outfits on the models bodies was so interesting and aesthetically perfect regardless of who was in what.

Incredible.

I had such a fun time working on this as well, I can’t wait to show you what’s next when the time is right!!!!
