USA Cycling (USAC) is the national governing body for the sport of cycling in the United States and oversees the disciplines of Road, Track, Mountain Bike, Cyclocross, and Elite BMX.

Becoming an official allows you to be a critical part of USA Cycling events all across the country. Officials are responsible for the sporting aspect of all of our competitive races, allowing USA Cycling’s members to pursue their passion of competition. As a USA Cycling Official you’ll learn to work within a team and manage an event with event organizers. You’ll progress towards leading teams of officials through increased practice and training.

Delivering fun, safe, equitable and measured racing is our drive and passion. Fun-for all of us. Safe-for all of us; for our members on and off their bikes at events. Equitable-for all of us; ruling on regulations and riding conduct makes our sport understandable, predictable and fair. Measured-for all of us; accurate results, timing and placings create development and growth for our members and your officiating career.

As some of you may know already, my mom and grandma both have cancer. For my mom this rare form of cancer, called neuroendocrine, is something she will have for the rest of her life. She’s had many tests done and luckily the tumors are only in her lungs and nowhere else in her body. While we aren’t sure of the next steps she meets with her oncologist next week. My mom has been very lucky with having no symptoms and still doing all the things she loves. For my grandmother, who has lung cancer and is very different from neuroendrocine, she just finished her radiation and will have a follow up with her doctor in the next 8-weeks. She is also doing well and in high spirits. November is neuroendocrine cancer awareness month and I just wanna share some pictures of my mom and grandma to bring awareness to both types of cancers. I hope to become half to woman they are when I am older. I love you guys and God is good!

Dust Bowl 44 mile (@dustbowl100) seems to quickly becoming a fan favorite. For good reason. Love how the area and surrounding folks make a day of cheering for us crazy people riding bikes on gravel roads. Missed having @nate2453 with me as he nurses a back injury. But had a blast despite training through it for my track nationals coming up (as seen in my pre race day leg press pic). I was able to place 2nd in my age and 7th overall, but more important it’s fun to see my personal growth with a power PR for the last 6 years. @erosportspa & @skadisportpsychology on point! Damn near cheating with some gamechager @zippspeed wheels rolling under me! Although track prep and taper is very different from this; Hopefully I can add some more titles to my list with some dusty bowl miles in the legs. Proud of everyone who crushed goals, rode hard, and showed up to try. Many thanks for the staff and volunteers rocking @indiana_gravel

@momentumindy continued on Saturday with IndyCrit and the crew spent part of the day making their way to the podium, highlighted with @sobrodad repeat victory in the master’s race (against three from @txrhcycling who are some of the best in the country). @reaney_owen was 2nd overall and 2nd 15/16 in the junior race, @zanemeyer_ won the state championship in the 17/18, 4th overall in the junior race, and provided the highlight race of the weekend when it comes to teamwork, grit, determination and dogged tenacity. The other Fagan with the team, Oliver, was 2nd in the young junior race, and brother Theo rolled it as well (look for him in the @nine13sportscyclingteam kit in coming months!) Meanwhile, @coop_bernstein @jakezyromski_ made it to Val d’Or for @tourabitibi starting today and @bradenreitz threw down an amazing final stage @ainbugeyvalromeytour to help his teammate win the final stage, win the climbers jersey, and finish 2nd on GC. By the time Sunday came around, it was time for a coffee-shop cruise to the northern reaches of Hamilton County with some of my favorite pedaling peeps.
