After one of our performances of The Hideout, we received a wonderful and heartfelt message from an audience member:

“I watched The Hideout today with my 7 year old son and his friend and we thought it was brilliant. Such a beautiful and high standard of production and accomplished performance. The use of space and set was incredible!

As the mother of a child who can experience big feelings around groups of new people, I felt really moved by the piece (I welled up a couple of times!). It felt so powerful for this conflict to be represented in a gentle and non-judgemental way. A good reminder that every child is different, and each can do things in their own way and own time.

Thank you for making a beautiful piece of art for children.”

These kinds of messages mean so much to us and our team -they’re a huge part of the reason of why we do what we do!

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us 🧡

We love this lot!

The Hideout has received support from a whole bunch of organisations throughout its creation.

@aceagrams - we’ve already shouted out this lot, but their funding is essential
@jacksons_lane - gave us space in their theatre during our R&D, to explore ideas & host a public sharing
@wtmworthing - providing us with theatre time for our tech days, before our tour kicked off
@thehortonepsom - our local arts centre, providing subsidised rehearsal space (so close to home!)
@101outdoorarts - welcomed us into their creation space before we even knew what the show was about!
up_surrey - Neurodevelopmental Specialists advising us on the shows themes, and ensuring the content is accessible, appropriate & engaging for our audiences

We’re currently on tour throughout Autumn 2026.

We couldn’t do what we do with support & funding.

We are so grateful to have secured a grant from Arts Council England for The Hideout.

It helps us to fund the creation of the show, subsidise our tour costs (to keep ticket prices affordable) & to carry out a whole bunch of outreach activities.

Funding from Arts Council England is extremely competitive, and although we’ve received it numerous times in the past it is still incredibly difficult to access.

We’re so excited to take this show on tour, starting in Autumn 2026.
We hope lots of you are able to come and see it!

Friendship is wonderful… and tricky.
Especially when you’re Luca.

The Hideout is a vibrant and daring mix of circus, parkour, and heartfelt storytelling that captures the highs and lows of making a new friend. Through breathtaking acrobatics and playful physical theatre, Luca and Maya navigate the delicate balance of trust, boundaries, competition, and connection.

Sometimes you don’t regret storing things for a decade. Some eerie “sounds” of the deep blue courtesy of old helium tank and bow and FX.

As ever just lovely being in a room and playing with real people.
