I am always preaching to ‘shoot your shot’, ‘put yourself out there’, ‘just go for it no matter what’ … and I will never stop. Day Two brought the perfect close to an unforgettable inaugural Happy Valley Farms Planner Retreat. The morning began slowly with poolside yoga led by Deb & Flow, followed by a beautiful brunch where local creatives and wedding professionals gathered to connect, collaborate, and build new relationships. From there, Happy Valley Farms invited everyone aboard for a curated tour of some of Chattanooga’s most iconic experiences. Guests enjoyed a behind-the-scenes VIP tour of the new Lookouts Stadium, explored the timeless elegance of The Edwin Hotel and Whiskey Thief, gathered for cocktails at Rosebud, and finished the evening with an exceptional dinner at 2nd American in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. What made this retreat so memorable wasn’t simply the incredible venues or thoughtfully planned itinerary. It was the intention behind every experience. Happy Valley Farms didn’t just host a retreat—they created an opportunity for planners to slow down, connect with one another, experience the best of the Chattanooga area, and leave feeling inspired. To everyone at Happy Valley Farms, thank you for dreaming up something so special and for investing so intentionally in the people who make this industry what it is. Day One at the inaugural Happy Valley Farms Planner Retreat, and what a way to begin. From the moment guests arrived, every detail reflected the heart behind this place. The day started on the Tennessee River with Easy Boat kayaks, a peaceful morning on the water, and a picnic overlooking the river. From there, everyone made their way to Happy Valley Farms, where Farmer Burt welcomed planners into the story behind his organic farm and the land he has carefully cultivated. The afternoon unfolded with painting the iconic dairy barn while enjoying handcrafted coffee from The Brew Collective, followed by a beautiful “pick-your-own” bouquet experience hosted by Fox & Fern. As the sun began to soften, guests sipped mint juleps among the Ralph Lauren-inspired stables, surrounded by some of the most breathtaking horses you’ll ever see. The evening continued in the greenhouse with handcrafted cocktails, fresh salads, and an unforgettable farm-to-table dinner by Events with Taste, featuring ingredients grown just steps away by Farmer Burt himself. It was a day filled with thoughtful experiences, meaningful conversations, incredible food, and the kind of hospitality that reminds you why gathering around a table still matters.
