“There’s a hunger waiting for me”; on a Kyocera Samurai x3.0 Half-Frame w/ Kodak Ultramax 400 film stock (1/2)

So ! Recently got this half-frame camera from Japan, shipped on Friday and on my lap Wednesday, pretty crazy right ? Even crazier is I was asked by my favorite film spot @essentialphotosupply a few prior if I’d be available/interested in shooting half-frame photos & submitting them in a format called “Diptych” which takes two photos from the half-frame that’s sitting on a regular stretch of 35mm as two images side by side. It’s a style/format I hadn’t seen before because I hadn’t had a half-frame camera of my own yet ! So I of course said yes but had only 48 hours to shoot 72 images on a 36-image roll and submit the roll for development and sequential review for some shot compositions they enjoyed best to be selected !! What this endeavor turn’d into was a change of perspective trying to “see” things to shoot, the first half of the day was spent in the presence of friends in different parts of the state and I enjoyed the opportunity to observe and recognize things I might not have had a camera out to shoot for ! This is in my opinion my fave 20 from the first 36 of the day.

Chugging Along; on a Chinon Genesis III Macro Zoom 38-110mm w/ Black Market 200 Film Stock

This was another tester roll on a new camera I picked up from an FB Marketplace sale. The thing was hella finicky and goofy to shoot if I could get lucky but for what it was worth I may put up with her a bit more for some color roll shots !
