I’m grateful to step into the role of Ana in the world premiere of “Another Kind of Silence” at City Theatre. This play is more than a role—it’s an invitation to wrestle with love, identity, and vulnerability in ways that have stretched me as an actor. It’s also a rare gift: a new, unapologetically queer story created by Deaf and hearing artists together. Sharing this work feels urgent and alive, and I would love for you to join us. Performances run through October 19th—come be part of the conversation. 🎟 Tickets & info: City Theatre – Another Kind of Silence (https://citytheatrecompany.org/.../another-kind-of-silence) #Theatre #LiveTheatre #ActorLife #StageLife #OpeningNight #WorldPremiere #QueerArt #QueerTheatre #QueerStorytelling #LGBTQTheatre #DeafArtists #ASLTheatre #AccessibilityMatters #PerformingArts #CreativeCommunity #HumanStories

Congrats to the cast and crew at City Theatre on such a beautiful exploration of language in all its forms. There are so many aural and visual textures in this play, so many layers of communication and points of connection. It's the kind of play that you can really feel reaching out to you, speaking a variety of languages you may not even realize you understand. Go and see it! It'll make you think about what truly brings two hearts together.

I don’t usually get to play inside a brand-new queer story—most of the time we’re re-treading classics, translating them, or bending them to fit. But this? Another Kind of Silence is fresh off the page, written by @elemfeld, and it’s messy, tender, complicated
kind of like being human. As an actor, I’ve been challenged to dig into new corners of myself—to find not just what’s said, but what’s unsaid, what’s avoided, what’s desired. That’s the juice. That’s why I’m honored to share it. Directed by @kimweild. DASL: @mo2.productions Proud to be on stage with @city_theatre. Come see it. Bring your heart. #AnotherKindOfSilence #CityTheatre #NewPlay #NewWork #QueerTheatre #LGBTQTheatre #QueerStories #DeafPittsburgh #TheatreLife A promotional graphic for Another Kind of Silence has a lavender background. At the top, bold black text reads: “ANOTHER KIND OF SILENCE,” with the dates “SEPT 20–OCT 12” on the right. Beneath the title, smaller text credits: “by L M Feldman,” “directed by Kim Weild,” and “Direction of Artistic Sign Language by MoMo Holt.” On the left side of the image, there is a circular portrait of Jules Dameron, who has short silver-gray hair, small earrings, and a calm expression. Below the portrait, black text reads: “JULES DAMERON — Ana.” On the right side, a light blue illustration shows two figures holding hands. One carries a wide shallow bowl of water balanced on their head, while plants and dandelions grow at their feet. At the bottom left corner, the City Theatre logo appears in bold black block letters.
