Becoming Catholic freed me from the burden of being my own theologian.

I no longer have to say, “I think” or “I believe.”

I can simply say, “The Church teaches.”

As a Protestant, every doctrine felt up for debate.
Bible studies became mini ecumenical councils.
Everyone had an interpretation, but no one had final authority.

I don’t follow my own voice. I follow the Bride of Christ.

Some call that blind obedience.
I call that freedom, and even more so i call that peace.

I absolutely love that I can simply say…
“I believe what the Church believes.”

And not a single evangelical can ever say that.

‘Do whatever He tells you’ may be the greatest line in the entire Bible, said by our blessed mother. The wisdom in these simple words, the most perfect advice/order. If we could do whatever He tells us, we would be saints 🩵
