Before I share the gorgeous shots our photographer captured, Ben and I feel it’s only right to share from the perspective of the people who made the best day of our lives possible.

It was so incredibly special to have our wedding at my family home. Since the day we announced our engagement, my mom has been baking, cooking, and freezing. My father has been sacrificing, preparing the grounds, and planning the logistics of an absolutely beautiful evening.

All their preparation could have gone to waste if it wasn’t for the incredible village of our family and friends that came together and defied every curveball that Mother Nature threw our way.

Thank you to my MANY cousins, new brother, sister, and mother who showed up the moment we called to set up the tent, dance floor, tables, and chairs that arrived several days late.

Thank you in particular to my Father, Uncle Alex, and cousin Christopher who drove an hour and a half round trip to Lowe’s day after day to buy solutions for the soup bowl of a floor Mother Nature made for us in the tent.

Thank you to my friends and their loved ones who showed up the moment we called on the morning of the wedding to lay down tarp and carpet so our guests were not walking in a mud bowl.

Thank you to my Mother & Nana in law for planning such an elegant rehearsal dinner.

Thank you to my sweet Mama Lori for gifting to us and making the floral arrangements and bouquets.

Thank you to my Uncle for surprising me with the gift of my wedding gown.

Thank you to my Aunt Natalya for flying in a week early and slaving in the kitchen, while working a full time job, in order to make sure all the food was done in time.

Thank you to my sister for keeping me calm and taking a million things off of my plate so I could get some rest.

There are so many things that went wrong that Ben and I know we were never even made aware of; thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the people who stepped up to fix them.
