Thank you to Resorts World Gives New York City for the incredilbe grant award that is allowing Queens World Film Festival to engage Festival Associates in paid long term projects. They are building their reels, getting production credits and helping us enhance our screening events. That is what building important arts management skills in the next generatoration of storytellers looks like. Win. Win. Win. For everyone. Thank you so much.

We brought our community together for an evening centered on the power of the First Amendment and the importance of protecting free expression. We were joined by @LucySexton, @George Emilio Sanchez, @Martha Bowers,
@Amy Schwartman, @DJMcdonald from The First Amendment Culture Team (@fact_usa.)
@DonaldPrestonCato, @AngeliqueYork, @MaryMousa and @NaelonVelazquez from Queens World were on hand to make sure everything ran smoothly. There was thoughtful conversation and shared perspectives as this event created space for dialogue, awareness, and community connection. This is Queens World’s investment in the First Amendment and our way of pushing back on the attacks to these fundamental freedoms. Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating the voices that shape and strengthen our society.
