My heart will forever be full from all of the love that was poured into me this weekend❤️‍🩹

After leaving Howard, I thought that I was taking all the wrong steps backwards from the woman I had thought I wanted to be. Little did I know that decision would be the biggest blessing of my life. I used to be someone who constantly questioned their worth. I questioned and compared myself to every and anybody telling myself to think and act smaller. To the point that I believed that if I was so small I didn’t need to be on this earth at all. But thank God I didn’t listen to those thoughts. Nursing school was hard. It was challenging. And life didn’t stop when it got hard. However through this I have proven to myself just how strong, smart, and resilient I am. I would have never been able to do this all without the amazing community that I have gained along the way. The powerful men and women in my life have always helped carried me through the dark back into the light and for that I owe them everything. Thank you to my family and friends who constantly check up on me, provide for me, and lift me up making sure that I see myself how you see me. I love you guys with all of my heart.

If I had to do it all over again, I would do it in an instant. I cannot wait to be a nurse. To anyone still reading this lol, know that you can do anything you set your mind to, know that you are loved, and know that there is a place in this world for you. Never make yourself feel small. I love you❤️

Fantastic time today at @eastsidedentontx for the Denton READiculous Book Palooza @dentonreadiculousbookpalooza! Loved having friends and family there (especially @catrdavis2 and Author Laura Torres @brainwaves_awake), and meeting cool people. Fabulous event!
