How do cats recognize their owners? 🥹

On their very first evening in our new home, these two wasted no time making themselves comfortable on their new cat tree 🩷🌸🩶🤍

What makes this even more special is that we were able to bring their familiar petals from our Vancouver home, carrying the comforting scents they know and love. A little piece of another home to help make this new chapter feel a little less unfamiliar 🥹♥️

Keeping the same routines and familiar comforts has helped make this transition smoother and a little less scary. But we truly believe that their beautiful bond is also a big reason why they’ve been able to adjust so well. Having each other through all these changes brings a sense of comfort, familiarity, and security. And watching them navigate this new chapter together has been the sweetest thing 🥰♥️

New home, same love, same little comforts ♥️

Thank you @kbspets for being part of our journey! 🐾♥️

Showing off his hunting skillz 😸🩵🐾 and sending you a splash of his wild whiskers this Wednesday! 🌀➰🥰

✨ Snapple was born with a neurological condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). This means his cerebellum is underdeveloped, which affects his motor skills, coordination, and balance. He also has intention tremors, which are part of the involuntary movements associated with this condition. CH doesn’t affect his cognitive abilities—Snapple is incredibly smart and happy. The condition doesn’t worsen over time, doesn’t cause him pain, and while there’s no treatment, it doesn’t stop him from living a full, joyful life 😸

Golden hour gave us a silhouette of clouds up in the sky 🤍 Our new home could not be complete without one of our favorite cat trees ♥️

Thank you @kbspets for the gift of making our transition easier for Moana and Snapple 💜 it’s a perfect fit for them to survey the emerald city from above 💚

We’ve been making mini trips to a new city all summer… one that we’re calling home too 💛 Hello, Seattle! 🏙️🌲

Life sometimes has a way of shifting our plans and asking us to adapt, and this next chapter is bringing a new city into the mix. We’re excited to meet new friends, explore more of the Pacific Northwest, and become part of a new community 🥰🐾

But don’t worry — Hawai‘i will always be a huge part of our lives and our hearts 🌺♥️ We’ll continue to support and help manage Linda’s Colony, sharing updates and fundraising for as long as the kitties need us. We have an amazing group of volunteers on the ground who we’re constantly in touch with, and our commitment to the colony isn’t changing just because we’ll be a little farther away.

And Vancouver? That will still be in the mix too ✈️🐾

Here’s to new adventures, new friends, and bringing a little aloha with us wherever we go 🌺💛

Thank you @fsseattle for being one of very few hotels in the city that are actually cat friendly when saying they’re pet friendly! ♥️
