I had an incredible weekend volunteering at @angelcitysports’s youth weekend! I love seeing kids with physical disabilities getting opportunities to try sports and find inclusion in a community. They’re building self-confidence and finding support from others like them, and I take great pleasure in contributing to that 🥹. It also feels really good for my own mental health to be amongst ‘my people’ ❤️. I got the chance to participate in sports at the event too (bc we all know I’m a kid at heart), including trying a track & field hand-cycle for the first time. Then, of course, my favorite part of the weekend was hanging out with dogs with physical disabilities, @theunstoppabledogs. I had a great wheelchair basketball-filled weekend! On Saturday, I volunteered, alongside my @angelcitysports teammates/coaches, at @kidspacemuseum’s ‘Basketball Bonanza’ event, introducing wheelchair bball to kids. It was alot of fun to play an exhibition game against medical staff from @getinvolvedchla! Also, the @rollettes_la performed and taught the kids some dance moves. On Sunday, we had an angel city bball clinic and I was really happy to see my new friend from the previous day’s event, Bella, come and learn more about wheelchair bball from Coach Alvin. I love seeing kids with physical disabilities getting opportunities to feel a sense of belonging and increased self-confidence ❤️. #disability #wheelchairbasketball #adaptivesports #angelcitysports #basketball

thank you @uclabeachvb for giving me sisters for life and a whole new perspective on volleyball. it didn’t go without some speed bumps along the way, but these have truly been the best 4 years of my life and its all because of the people I’ve been lucky enough to have in my corner all this time. I’m forever grateful to have been apart of something so special, it takes a village and thats exactly what this program embodies. thank you for letting me live out my dream and giving me my people, go bruins for life 💙💛

Dance is so magical. It’s movement, it’s emotion, it’s words, it’s hope. We want everyone to feel that wherever they are. The things that bring you joy shouldn’t end because you are in the hospital.
