What a night at @decorex_international 🎶🥂

Tonight, the Aeven Collective Bar came alive, with our DJ putting the LEON speakers through their paces and showing just how much incredible sound can come from beautifully designed speakers.

Great music, great people, and the perfect demonstration of how design and technology can come together to create an experience.

A fantastic evening celebrating creativity, collaboration and, of course, exceptional sound.

Denver, you were a good one! 🇺🇸

Andy and Katie had a fantastic week at CEDIA, packed with new ideas, industry insights, and great conversations.

The week included exciting new product previews from Blustream, Savant, CAVD, alongside a thought-provoking panel exploring AI in the smart home.

Katie attended the ‘Women in Consumer Technology’ Luncheon, with Savant proudly supporting the event as Gold Sponsor - a fantastic opportunity to celebrate and champion women across the industry.

And what better way to round off a busy week than watching a game of Coors Field? ⚾️

It's the return of my film reviews! 😁

After spending all my spare hours for the best part of 3 weeks working on the @krixsound upgrades to the UK demo cinema for @cavdistribution I'm back at the big cinema.
Like many people I've been eagerly waiting for The Odyssey to arrive. Encouraged by reviews that have been thrust in my space I went to see it at the High Wycombe @omniplexcinemas this evening.

The place was the busiest I've seen it in years, mainly full of Spiderman viewers, I'll watch that soon too. 🤣
So what of the film then? It's both long enough that it feels a bit slow at times and also that it could have had more and gone on longer. Either way it passed at a good pace in general. Lots of stuff happens, in big ways and it's good entertainment. Big picture, big sound (as much as a 5.1 only production can deliver). Good things are sets and costumes, it looks brilliant. Less good are the US accents which feels odd especially given the UK actors in prominent roles.

Ultimately I'm glad I went to watch it. I'll probably not watch it again.

8/10 (4🌟)

It didn't top Obsession as my film of the year so far.

Back to quality film content this time. 😁

@backroomsmovie seen at High Wycombe @omniplexcinemas with a couple of my best film fan friends. We've been eagerly awaiting the release of the film for a while having been aware of the original content online for years
It's a very well paced physcological horror film that's for sure, not one for the claustrophobic or those who dislike mazes or labyrinths. 🤣
Everything about it is high quality and you'll be fully engrossed from start to finish. Ultimately not the terror level of Obsession (not much will be), but as good otherwise.
An extremely solid 8/10.

This week I've been adding a pair of @originacoustics_int Blends Invisible speakers to our @cavdistribution showroom demonstration system. This is as visible as they'll ever be as the plastered arrives imminently to hide them away. 😁
They're powered by an @originpro ProA250.2 power amplifier to take advantage of the 20 year warranty available when installed as a combination. All while putting the powerful DSP to use to make them sound their very best.
The next job after this is install a pair of Blends 802 into the showroom ceiling!

If you'd like to come and experience the class leading audio reproduction of the Origin Acoustics Blends Invisible speakers please let myself, @cavd_mel or @cavdistribution Jamie know. We have the 803 in and running already too with their impressive bass output.
