🇵🇷 Came to celebrate Puerto Rican Heritage Night. Left with a full heart (and a few empanadas 🥟)

Today’s Latin Owned Business Spotlight: @eatinthecave ✨

Last night, I attended Puerto Rican Heritage Celebration Night at @citifield and @mets to proudly represent my culture, connect with the community, and kick off OUR dedicated weekend ahead! While the energy throughout the stadium was incredible, I came with a specific mission: support a Latino owned business I’ve been hearing about for months.

If you’ve spent any time on NYC food TikTok, you’ve probably seen @eatinthecave. What started as a food truck has grown into an official Citi Field food vendor, bringing Puerto Rican flavors to one of New York City’s most iconic venues. 🌎🇵🇷

Safe to say, mission accomplished. ✅

We tried their signature Beef & Cheese Empanada and their vegan Veggie Nada, filled with sweet pumpkin, chickpeas, rice, cilantro, and potatoes. Both delivered on flavor, culture, and comfort. You can find them at Citi Field on the Promenade Level inside the Hudson Whiskey NY Club.

Bonus points because it was also Bark at the Park Night, so 🐶☕ Cafecita represented all evening and mingled as well among great company.

From small businesses to stadiums, our community continues to create spaces where culture, family, and food bring people together. Because some of our best conversations always seem to happen around the table.

You may recognize Ed & Zina from their @eatinthecave food truck at the Citi Field block parties last year, but this season they’ve brought their amazing Puerto Rican soul food INSIDE the stadium. Not only is it one of the best bites at the ballpark, but the people behind the scenes are some of the best people you’ll ever meet.

A savory blend of rice, cilantro, sweet pumpkin, chickpeas, and potato, served with cave sauce. If you’ve seen me at Citi Field this year, you probably have heard me raving about these Vegan Nadas! They’ve got it all - rich and savory, packed with flavor, warm throughout, a great value, easy to walk around with (high portability points!) and once you combine it with the sweet and tangy Cave Sauce, you’ve got one of the best bites in the ballpark. Absolutely fantastic. don’t walk, RUN to get Eat in the Cave!!
