From playing hot cross buns to playing Groove Merchant and Sinfonia, has been the most vital and enjoyable part of my life. Being apart of this community of musicians for the past 4-6 years has been an absolute blessing. Despite having a rough start freshman year wanting to quit band, I still received love and support from this program, and for that I consider you guys almost like my 2nd family. I am forever grateful for each and every one of you who performed and shared the stage with me and all the directors, Mr Tanis, Mr Desmond, and Mr Todahl. I still haven’t fathomed that it’s really over. Truly thank you and wish you all the best in the future regarding your music and for most main careers. Muscle man 3rd trumpet signing out. 🎺

it’s still so surreal that i only have two days left of school, it’s even more that i won’t play with these people ever again. to say that my time with the lakota east bands was incredible is an understatement. these past 6 years in band will be cherished forever, showing my growth from middle school all the way to Symphonic Winds and Jazz Ensemble. even more than band itself, i will forever cherish the people i’ve met, they are what made band so special to me. now that we are all graduating, i hope to continue these friendships i’ve made through college and beyond. i will miss the inside jokes, the music we’ve made, the growth. you all have made something so hard to say goodbye to.

mr tanis, thank you for believing in me from the very beginning, i truly wouldn’t be where i am today without your support. i’m even more grateful for your support with hopefully continuing with the Xavier band program!
