The little @grasshopperclimbing board at Onsight PT got a ✨glow up✨ tonight!

Meeting @boonespeed and @cbaileyspeed changed the trajectory of my practice to specializing with climbers and climbing training. I learned to climb during PT school and realized that we couldn’t hold climbers to the same standards as basic transfers or movements.

This climbing wall has been in the clinic since the beginning because it’s important for climbers to climb. It sounds like an obvious statement, but it was a conscious decision to make sure we were rehabbing on and off the wall. I wanted to provide a safe, quiet environment for climbers to return to sport without the expectation of returning to a gym.

It was time for the wall to get a fresh start and this is just the beginning of big changes coming to Onsight PT in 2026!

Thanks for coming along for the ride.

In this week’s Only Solutions, editor @marc.peruzzi dives into the common problems faced by marketing departments - namely, re-establishing meaningful connections between consumers and companies after decades of chasing ROI and the downturn of demand post-COVID (especially in the outdoor industry).

Enter @thecommproj, founded by @travist19 and @scottmarkewitz. Their “agency” is a case study of how the business of creativity and marketing work together. Is their company a roadmap for the entire creative industry?

Read Peruzzi’s piece: Show Me Something Real on the Hence Journal to find out. Link in bio.

@psicocomp ‘23 💫 what a beautiful way to show off our sport to the masses 🫶🏻 Thanks to all those who organized and poured their hearts into bringing this event back better than it ever has been. I was honored to be there and be given the opportunity to climb on that wall again. A slight knee tweak I suffered after hitting the water during practice kept me from competing in the finals but I hope to be back next time! It was also my first solo trip away from Aaro and I missed him but definitely had fun connecting with old friends and feeling that community love again 🙌🏻🔥 @thenorthface @thenorthface_climb

I started climbing 3 years, 4 months, and 3 days ago.

6 months into my climbing journey, and during the start of COVID, I knew that my progression and journey required something that allowed me to scale, progress, and build the total package.

I physically couldn’t pull on any of the systems boards available on the market - and knew that they didn’t allow for a systematic way to build the niche and intangible skills I would need to flow and move in the different planes.

I saw @grasshopperclimbing board online, designed for both the best climber in the world, and the first time climber. I was surprised there was such an innovative approach in a sport that seemed behind on the innovative training front.

My journey, progressions, skill, and tactic have largely been due to @grasshopperclimbing boards intentional design: holds angled to force movement/adjustable, and problems through all the angles ranging from V0 to Vimpossible.

It is thought out by some of the most accomplished and forward thinking climbers out there, including @boonespeed and USA Head Coach @joshlrsn

I believe that this board is just the beginning of the future of climbing training and progression. Every energy system, every angle, every scenario.

There is no board out there that allows for a climber training the biters of Hueco, a VRG 5.14, the slopers of Font, and just learning their first V0, to train all at the same time, at the same angle.

Hats off to thinking differently.
